What was the other version of church

I was at JADE’s event tonight and we filmed a video for another version of church. She came around EVERYONE and had a moment with them as she was filming. She even said before she filmed it she would be coming up to each and everyone of us. She did about four takes of the video - a lot of fan involvement. She said she had to have the last video from That’s Showbiz Baby era with her fans. It was a really great night. So many laughs and she also did a Q&A with Sam Prance that they filmed. Jade was mortified when she woke up to the reaction about the one minute silence at the start of tar. To the point she spoke to her a&r today about removing that section from the song but she decided the more people moaned the more it made her want to keep it in. She said she wanted to create that moment in the ‘old days’, where you’d listen to a cd and wait some time before the bonus track player and she wanted that with this. She wanted to give us time to regroup after ‘shaking our titties’ to if my heart was a house 🤣 Jade said the song ‘Best You Could’ is about her previously tricky relationship with her dad. She wasn’t ready to drop it with the standard album she said. Jade said with the standard album tracklist she had to listen to a lot of input from her label etc on what songs to include (she loves them all). However, with the deluxe the songs were all her choices and whatever she wanted on it. She said ‘Use’ me is for the subs. But it’s also about the industry. She’s in the process of creating new music but isn’t 100% sure what direction she wants to go in at the moment. Theres quite a lot more but these are the main parts I remember for now. We got signed little posters too at the end. She didn’t do selfies or photos but we got a lot of direct interaction throughout whilst taking part in the video.

Jade is performing on Graham Norton next Friday night, assume she will perform Church!

Ohh noo I know it's not live I just wondered how far in advance the performances get filmed because the candle clip looks like it could be the backdrop for Graham

Confirmed to be Church not sure where I've seen that but definitely read it's church. I have a feeling the promo mini clip with all the candles in the back was her Graham performance? Are they usually filmed in advance?

I really hope this blows up in years to come. It really is great! It’s a long process though Christmas songs take ages to become annual hits. I don’t really think the candlelit versions adds much to be honest, it’s a shame they didn’t go with an extra Festive version or something with some new lyrics etc..

All tracks are charting on iTunes. I believe the album is also at #10 on Apple Music (I don't have AM so can't check for sure) iTunes: 04. Church 16. Use Me 26. If My Heart Was A House 28. This Is What We Dance For 30. Best You Could 32. Tar 33. Dreamcheater For some minor context, Queen of iTunes - Kylie Minogue - new song (I assume she'll fly up very soon) is currently at 21! So 'Church' and 'Use Me' are doing particularly well. (Yes I'm aware iTunes sales is probably not even 20 sales in this day and age)

I'm out of the loop a bit here, so didn't realise the deluxe was out on streaming today, was thinking it's all out in a week or two. Looking forward to having a listen now 😀

Do we know what she is performing on Graham Norton next week? I really hope it's 'Church' but why do I have a feeling it's going to be 'Before You Break My Heart'?

Loving this. Not quite sure where if lands in my list of Jade songs, but it's better than any of the album tracks from TSB. Video is good on first watch as well. Can see why it's getting a December release in line with the deluxe, so hoping it gets some longevity after the Christmas songs are gone

Good News, Tar has been fixed, at least on the YouTube lyric video. The minute has been removed thankfully

After ranking 'Plastic Box' as the 19th best song of the year, NME has ranked 'THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!' as the 17th best album of the year. She's truly become THE critic's dahlinggg! <3
