06 Sunscreen - Love U More I actually enjoy the ‘hardcore’ version by DJ Paul. It’s also the version I got the know first when I was a kid. Not bad, but the original is missing a bit of an ‘umph’ to me. 04 Romeo’s Daughter - Stay With Me A typical, and boring, pop/rock song. 06 Aneta - You Make Me Whole Already a cheesy and campy song in this version. Not bad, not exciting either. XX Zoë Zana - You Make Me Whole 06 Anders | Fahrenkrog - No More Tears On The Dancefloor This is giving me Modern Talking/a group of daddies going to ESC in 2009. It’s bad, but somehow not THAT bad. 08 Lara Fabian - I Will Love Again Yes, lovely cheese from miss Fabian. I also understand why Steps covered this one. Only the ‘Celine’ parts are a bit ‘meh’. 05 Ask Embla - Father’s Eyes This sounds like a dated ESC-entry. 07 Mariette - A Million Years This also sounds like an ESC-entry but a lot less dated. Not bad! 7.5 Lina Hedlund - Victorious Lina! And I have a soft spot for the Steps version. This one is made for le homoseksuals and I like. This one has a bit less ‘umph’ to me then the cover though. XX Marvin Gaye - Too Busy Thinking About My Baby XX Sybil - Make It Easy On Me XX Bananarama - Movin’ On XX The Three Degrees - The Runner XX ABBA - Dancing Queen XX ABBA - Lay All Your Love On Me XX Slade - Merry Xmas Everybody

Also, blame Steps but apologies for making you endure a Christmas song in October

Thanks for adding those links @Lee_J11! Agreed @Padamic_Tension , another lovely and fresh thread ❤️ I’m going to post the songs and add my ratings throughout the week.

Another good thread with lots of hard work.put in

YouTube links have all now been added into the second post. (Zoë Zana is a Soundcloud link as no YouTube link is available)

Streaming platform links now added to the earlier post. There are a few caveats so please take time to read them! :)

Stop Me From Loving You. A really nice b-side. I’ve been listening to b-sides of many artists a bit lately.

In it for love Quite a lovely (and hidden) gem if you ask me ❤️

Yes, another lovely thread @Lee_J11 ❤️ I’ll add my votes later, I need to re-listen some originals ❤️

Yes. Though it’s far from getting the biggest blow.

Apologies, I’ll no back in read it all. :)

Please read the entire post 😛😂 And yes you’re right re Stay With Me! Edited it in now!

Also I thought Stay With Me from Step One was a cover. I could be wrong though.

Is there meant to be 2 different artists for You Make Me Whole?

Here we go again then! Following the completion of the original cover version competition (where we crowned Kylie Minogue - Better The Devil You Know), we are now back for round 2! And this time, we’ll be focussing on Steps’ album tracks that were ever so politely borrowed and recorded! You may well know some, if not all of the original versions of the album tracks Steps covered. But the goal is to find out what Buzzjack’s favourite one is! (Yes @777666jason I am looking at you in particular!) Please try and vote purely based on the merits of the original song and try not to let your love of some of Steps’ cover versions cloud your judgement! You may give ONE 11 if you so wish. No -1 votes are allowed. Please post your votes in this thread. I will be posting the videos / streaming links for each song below in due course for you all to listen to. Obviously feel free to use other methods if you so wish. - The Anders | Fahrenkrog song is not available on streaming so will have to be YouTubed - There are 2 versions of You Make Me Whole’ on the list as they were seemingly released at very similar times. So in the interest of fairness, both have been included. - As the whole album is essentially a load of (naff ) covers, you’ll be glad to hear I’ve decided not to include anything from Light Up The World Enjoy and get rating :) Closing date : Saturday 31st October
