Real Girl (album) turned 18 two weeks ago!! (Sorry couldn't find the album thread for it). I thought we might've got a re-release with bonus songs as Mutya was hinting at it last year. Doesn't look like it's happening sadly. :(

That's slightly disappointing. I was looking forward to buying this when I'm in London in September.

Keisha's ex-boyfriend, Taiwo Atieno, faces eight charges related to him abusing her emotionally and physically. He has been charged with: One count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) between 1st January 2012 and 1st January 2015. One count of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour between 29th December 2015 and 1st May 2018. Six counts of breaching a non-molestation order. Two of the counts relate to posting information online about Keisha on 18th July 2024 and 20th July 2024. The other four counts are related to breaching the order by emailing Keisha on 2nd August 2024, 19th November 2024, 19th December 2024 and 23rd December 2024. He has been given conditional bail. He must surrender his passport, meaning he is currently banned from leaving the country. He has also been banned from contacting Keisha, both directly and indirectly. I managed to catch their Big Weekend set earlier and they’re looking and sounding fab! Keisha especially. I can’t really fault their setlist but would love them to throw in In The Middle and Red Dress in the future.

Looking at that list of the lead singles together makes me realise just how good most of them really are! What a list! I think my ranking would go like Push The Button Freak Like Me About You Now Overload Hole In The Head Easy Flatline Get Sexy Girls (this is probably the only one that I don’t really like) I remember really loving Easy at the time yet it’s not one I revisit a lot these days more because it’s not on a studio album than anything else. Overload is one that’s really grown across time though I think it sounds really fresh now and not at all that it’s almost 25 years old where as stuff like Girls and Get Sexy which came out years later feel really dated. To be fair I really feel like 1.0 and 2.0 era of Sugababes have a sound what doesn’t necessarily feel dated compared to other acts who were out at the time! I feel like tracks like Hole In The Head and Freak could still be hits if released now!
