Posted September 18, 200915 yr A very interesting read from the freshest, latest edition of Billboard Magazine that I recommend that everybody should read. Here's the link to that wonderful page: http://www.zinio.com/pages/BillboardMagazi...416098616/pg-24 Scans of the pages thanks to daveyboy from Haven: http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/6421/20090919billboard10best.gif http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/6421/20090919billboard10best.gifhttp://img11.imageshack.us/img11/6421/20090919billboard10best.gif Edited September 20, 200915 yr by Who Me?
September 19, 200915 yr not surprising though the order will always throw up some interesting debate. So basically its BBC+XF+iTunes=Smash Hit! Easy peasy. Not sure they've used the most scientific method for calculating this either, its basically family fortunes music edition  Thanks for posting though! Edited September 19, 200915 yr by spicefunk
September 19, 200915 yr Is a performance on Zane Lowe really more effective than Live Lounge performance with Whiley?!
September 19, 200915 yr This sounds pretty much spot on; which is precidely why it is criminal that there is no Top Of The Pop type show on the BBC at the moment; as Simon Cowell is running a gloried music cartel inflicting inferior muzak on the gullible Great British public in the less quarter of every year. So that Westlife only exist in the last two months of the year in the same way that Cliff Richard can only rely on Christmas to get a big hit single.
September 19, 200915 yr Strictly Come Dancing performances must do quite well as well. Also Britain's Got Talent and Dancing On Ice as all 3 get more than 10 million viewers every week. Edited September 19, 200915 yr by About a Steve
September 19, 200915 yr Eurovision seemed to be good exposure this year too, tons of songs from it made the iTunes top 300 with Fairytale being a shock official top ten :o
September 19, 200915 yr Sounds about right to me. Anyone performing on the x factor is sure to get a BIGGG boost
September 19, 200915 yr Use Somebody being covered on X Factor and already at #27 on iTunes justs seems to prove that KoL exposure will always outshine any other artist or band's exposure. Also, Sex On Fire is reclimbing.
September 19, 200915 yr My list: 1. Get interrupted during an acceptance speech 2. Make up a story about replacing a member of a famous girl band, so that it's all over the papers on the day of your new single's release I'm not saying #2 is what Jade is doing, but I have a feeling "My Man" will chart higher than it would've without this big Sugababes story ;)
