OMG sales are well down :o at this rate the week sales may not even top the low first week tally of Hard Candy which i think was only around 90k.

Anyone know the first week sales of all Madonna's albums so can compare. Maybe sales will pick up over the weekend but its not looking good so far  ....

I know. I was expecting 200k first week. Thought it would be much bigger. Guess that's what happens with a third GH album. An artist's first collection is always the biggest usually.(Beatles excepted!)

Maybe the big sales will come nearer xmas when the main PR may take place to get thoses xmas sales, TIC had huge xmas sales in 1990. We will see

200k?! Are you mad? :P

Greatest hits are not strong sellers outside the xmas period. I think 50/60k is good considering the lead off single hasn't been

well received, however I expect this album to stay well within the top 20 for the remainder of the year and pick up in the run

up to xmas and probably have larger sales weeks around this time.

Christmas is clearly going to be the decisive time for the album to be honest. I wouldn't be too worried. No matter what the public perception of the old bitch is now, she's got one of the best back catalogues in the pop world, so this is going to be a stocking filler fave.

Even if the silly cow screwed up the tracklisting.

Are you mad? :P

.

No. Of course not.

It's sales the week before Christmas will be higher than this week I'd say, over 100k easily.

Sales upto Wed are 41k now so improved on yday by nearly 11k, yay i think saturdays will be best sales day as most people are not working then or that just wishfull thinking?????
I think around 65/70k will be the total for the week. As long as it beats America Life, which was around 60k I think.

PS I think she will sell Thurs around 8/10k, Friday 4/5k and Sat around 10/12k

Total 62/68k

75-80k my guess :D

But it should sell 100k so a bit underperforming although album sales in general are horrible this year.

I think it will see a 6-figure weelky tally in December.
The sales are awful so far but as long as she gets to #1 on sunday I don't care. I think around christmas the album sales will improve.

I think it depends on how revolver is promoted and if she does a video for it. I guess the tv ad will be around then. The sales will bump up if she does the much rumored x factor performance.
