Posted September 23, 200915 yr Aqua 'recording new studio album' Wednesday, September 23 2009, 17:22 BST By David Balls, Music Reporter Digitalspy.co.uk Aqua have revealed that they are working on a new studio album, expected to be released next year. The Danish pop group, whose Greatest Hits collection is out on September 28, claimed that they are planning to update their sound on the new record. "It's more serious. What we are able to do is go in a different direction but you'll always be able to hear it's us because we have this Scandinavian style and we both have distinctive voices," singer Lene Nystrøm told Attitude. "We're back to the naive, green feeling we had when we started out." The four-piece, who got back together to tour Denmark last year, claimed that the experience encouraged them to re-form permanently. "It was more than fun," Nystrøm said. "It was absolutely amazing. [Record label] Universal wanted to release the greatest hits and we added songs to that. Now we just want more! We can't stop now." Aqua's new single 'Back To The 80s' is out now. Are you pleased with the news or do you think they belong back in the 90s?
