Posted September 26, 200915 yr As we end this era, let's take a look back... As if the success of 'Womanizer', 'Circus' and 'If U Seek Amy' as singles wasn't enough, six non-singles from Circus have charted on sales charts somewhere in the world, 3 here in the US (Out from Under, Kill The Lights & Shattered Glass). 'Shattered Glass' peaked the highest at #70 on the Billboard Hot Digital chart in late 2008 following the release of Circus. The Circus: Starring Britney Spears is her longest running tour EVER. On top of The Circus: Starring Britney Spears already being her highest grossing tour to date, grossing $86 million thus far, it has already more then doubled (not including all the sold out dates in Australia) that of her previous highest grossing tour, 2004's The Onyx Hotel, grossing $41 million dollars. The Circus will go on to gross nearly $110+ million dollars. The release of 'Radar' marks the first time since Britney that we've gotten a complete fourth single. Not to mention releasing her biggest single (since her debut), 'Womanizer', on a worldwide scale. Britney Spears has truly made one of the biggest turn arounds in pop culture. She went from the looney bin to the top shelf, especially after moving almost 4 million units worldwide with Circus. Not only celebrate her cementing her icon status, but also showing us why we have loved and supported her for these past ten years. The #1 Female Artist of the Decade, the legendary Ms. Britney Spears. Edited September 26, 200915 yr by Tyler
September 26, 200915 yr Bow Bow Bow! She really is the #1 Female Artist of the Decade and no one will ever take that away from her.
September 26, 200915 yr I agree with all of that! Circus has truly been a great era, not to mention a wonderful comeback era for her. She's almost made it through her near 100 date tour without canceling any dates herself which is incredible!! Gotta give her huge props for releasing a Singles Collection now with a new single and recording for a new studio album already!
September 26, 200915 yr Author Yeah I think Britney knows now that the comeback hype is over she has to keep it going for atleast another album. I expect a new studio album by mid 2011 at the LATEST. Probably going to be one in late 2010, so we as Britney fans have never really had the chance to be bored since Blackout.
September 26, 200915 yr Which is REALLY nice for us. Can't believe how lucky we've been lately. Right after the last single is released off of an album it seems like we get a new one right away.
September 26, 200915 yr AND an Ultimate Fan Box Set. That's what I'm the most excited about! :D And I agree, we Britney fans are the luckiest in the world. What other act releases one album per year for three years in a row? She actually did this twice: this time with Blackout, Circus and The Singles Collection and back in 1999/2000/2001 with ...Baby One More Time, Oops!... I Did It Again and Britney.
