Posted September 27, 200915 yr Steve Dixon on Australia/Brit's Plans THE Britney Spears circus is coming to town, and what a circus it promises to be. When she and her 225-strong crew roll into Adelaide for the last of 12 concerts nationally in November, they'll be dragging with them a spectacular show that has cost no less than $30 million to produce. The stage itself is worth $10 million and could be the platform that relaunches Spears as the Pop Princess. Not only is she bringing with her 50 band members, dancers and circus performers, she also has in tow her two sons, Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3, and ex-husband Kevin Federline, who's designated babysitter while Britney wows the crowd. Tour director Steve Dixon admits being able to bring her family was one of the reasons Britney is finally touring here. "Part of her new life is balance," Dixon told the Sunday Mail. "The boat (carrying the show) takes 30 days to get to Australia and during that time she'll be in the studio and doing video shoots, but also having down time with her kids." Federline, also talking exclusively to the Sunday Mail agreed, and did not seem to mind being on baby-sitting duty. "Fatherhood means everything to me. My children are the best thing that ever happened to me," he said. The Circus: Starring Britney Spears, is the controversial star's first tour in five years and Dixon promises she won't disappoint diehard fans who have waited 10 years to see their idol perform. "This is the biggest pop show ever and people love her, they love the show," he said. With nine costume changes - some of which take the pop diva as little as 15 seconds - all in keeping with the Circus theme, Britney takes centre stage as Ring Master. But critics will no doubt be watching to see if the show is much more than just smoke and mirrors. And the tour hasn't been without incident, with many fans in the US and UK disappointed the songstress lip-synced many of her songs. Dixon disagrees that Britney might be struggling under the stress of such a gruelling performance. "She's in great shape, she loves being on stage - it's her favourite part of the day," he said. But with pop sensations Pink and Beyonce recently blowing crowds out of the water on their own respective tours around Australia, Britney has a big challenge ahead. Britney Spears will perform at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Sunday, November 29. Tickets available from Tuesday at www.ticketek.com.au http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/s...-16601,00.html
September 27, 200915 yr Author I would be fine with all three of those! I'd love to see her work with Jonas Akerlund after the AMAZING work he did with paparazzi.
September 27, 200915 yr Is it just me or does filming of the video in 4 weeks yet seem pretty late? Maybe it's a good thing so that the single gets a bigger boost towards release of the album and when the single is officially released in the international countries.
September 27, 200915 yr I'd think filming for a video would have to be pretty set in stone unless that info is false... but it seems to be true? I don't know just seems it'd be released pretty late to really help and promo the single.
September 27, 200915 yr Of course but it just seems unusual for Britney. Oh well, the suspense will continue to build.
September 29, 200915 yr That would be pretty sweet especially if they decide to film for the DVD in Australia! Which I sure hope they do...
