Oh, that will be JLC then (Justin Lee Collins) Stupid source...

oh right  yeah, I'd heard about that but I think it was more Justin Lee Collins was trying to persuade Ronan to do it

I really hope that fool isn't involved in Eurovision in any way next year :drama: (Justin not Ronan)

Norway choosing early :o when do their semis start? surely this means that they won't overlap with the MF semis like they did in 2009, I had to keep flicking between live feeds :drama:

Norway starts on FRIDAY 8th January

I wouldn't mind JLC going to Eurovision, as long as it's not for the UK, which he said it won't be.

But UK selecting late again, in March? I don't mind too much (at least we know a lot of the competition by that time), but that probably means a longer wait to find out who the songwriter is :(

DAMN so early already. These 3 better be good because i want to bum something ESC-related ALREADY :(

Well I don't understand it, so I wouldn't know :P

Is there a Belarussian language then?

It is the official language of Belarus but it's not commonly used obviously so they try to do everything (speak, make sites) in russian (quite the same with Ukraine). :o

I wondered why football manager never acknowledged Belarussian as a language
Do you know it? :heehee: :o

Ronan may also be involved in another Eurovision song for Denmark too. He mentioned in an interview on a Dutch TV show that when they wrote Believe Again they also wrote 2 other tracks and now one of those is being put to the vote in Denmark.

Do you know it? :heehee: :o

Latvia

Latvia WILL be going to Oslo. They will involve sponsors and financial supporters to help them manage it.

Lithuania

Lithuania have withdrawn, but are still looking for more money so that they will be able to go to Oslo!

  • Author

The deadline for confirming participation has now passed. We have FIVE withdrawals, one return...and that makes 38 countries going to Oslo*! Four less than in Moscow :(

*Although the deadline has passed, it is possible for some countries to still change their minds as happened for 2009.

On Friday, Pierre Kartner will sing the Dutch entry for the first time on radio. He will not be singing the song in Oslo, so this will not be the final version.

I'm disappointed at so many withdrawals. :(

Not that i don't like the fact that the Moscow contest will stay as the largest one for one more year though :kink:

In terms of countries taking part, Belgrade is the largest

In terms of production (things like the stage, and how good it seems overall), that's where Moscow is the largest.

Oh damn, i forgot. :(

There's no limits for perfection so i think Oslo might surprise us <3

having watched Norway's X Factor it looks incredibly cheap compared to the UK version...hopefully the same expense won't be spared for Eurovision, I'm expecting something spectacular!
