Denmark will reveal the 10 songs competing in Dansk MGP on the 12th January.

I don't know if this means just the singers & song titles, or the actual songs. The actual national final isn't until February, and I remember last year they weren't happy because all 10 songs got leaked onto YouTube. I think that story even got into the British newspapers...either that, or my friend had a dream about exactly that, because when I told her, she already knew, and she isn't a big ESC fan, only watches the TV shows.

Random fact: Speaking of dreams, I had a dream about ESC a couple of weeks ago. Alexander Rybak was performing his entry in Moscow, only it wasn't "Fairytale", it was a song which sounded 95% like "Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)" - yes, he'd plagiarised Lady GaGa :kink:

Dansk MGP was the best selection this year, in terms of songs. I really liked all 10, and was supporting "Det Det", but I think "Believe Again" was the weakest of the 10. Really looking forward to it in 2010, only a week later than 2009 I think.

lol

But...they never even play-listed Jade. I never thought Radio 1 liked Eurovision :o

Oh...you mean the Norwegian Radio 1, not the UK Radio 1 :P

That was only round 1. Now you've got to face me in round 2 ;)

*I would just like to apologize for any rubbish jokes I tried to make in this post

No, i didn't know if you'd seen it but i posted "the ESC sig is to re-appear soon" there in place of it and then changed it for the new year's theme   Don't worry, these are only temporary measures, we'll see who wins when i don't change my sig for the next 5 months :smoke:

You can't even see my signature? So you lot need not worry about your sigs

I can now confirm that it's only the singers & song titles for DMGP that will be revealed on January 12th, not the actual songs :( On the bright side, I heard that Ronan Keating submitted a song to the broadcaster, so that might be taking part

Since I hadn't yet found the Eurovision forum back in May, did people notice how they spelt "Keating" wrong in the 2nd semi-final? :kink: Was corrected in time for the final.

Oh I hadn't noticed that before. I noticed that for the Belgian entry however it was titled Copycat - Copycat... wasn't the representative called Patrick Ouchene or something?

He was called Patrick Ouchene indeed, have no idea why they changed the name :o

There were a couple of women singers on stage with him, so I think the claim was that it's a "band" called Copycat...guess they were trying to be funny, by copying the title of the song. Oh, and in the 2nd semi-final, "Keating" was spelt as "Keeting". Dunno if they would've changed it for the DVD or not.

Anyone interested in representing Cyprus in 2011? Well from my understanding, you only have until January 8th 2010 to submit your interest! You need to be aged between 16 & 35, and be a citizen of Cyprus or have been living there for at least two years.

Confused?

Well, there is a talent show called "Performance" taking place next year, and the winner of the vocal category will represent Cyprus in 2011. Has any broadcaster ever start preparations so early?

Belgium will be internally selecting the song which Tom Dice will sing in Oslo. It will then be presented in Spring.

Harel Skaat is [once again] being rumoured as being the next representative for Israel. There is expected to be an official announcement by the broadcaster on the 24th (tomorrow) or the 27th December.

Good news. It is now CONFIRMED that he WILL represent Israel :D

Four entrants, four male soloists, the EBU must be getting worried.
