Oops! The Israeli broadcaster have said they published the news about Harel by mistake, and he isn't actually confirmed as going to Oslo. But this doesn't mean he certainly won't be, he might still be going, I don't think there is confirmation until tomorrow.

Here it is! The first singer and song to be confirmed and made public. Of course it will be revamped between now and then but still it's something.

Albania are sending Juliana Pasha with Nuk mundam pa ty

I actually like that! Started a bit Bad Boys-esque, but the chorus is completely different thankfully!
There's my short name in the name of this singer :kink:

Albania

Albania are sending Juliana Pasha with the song "Nuk mundem pa ty". Juliana took part in the Albania selection in 2008 (where she came 3rd), and in 2009 (where she came 2nd). The song has about a 99.9% chance of being revamped before Oslo (even though I think it may be the first Albanian entry not to be over the time-limit), either into English like in 2009, or maybe a multilingual version. Even if the song doesn't get a make-over, ESCNation is hoping that her hair does :P

I suppose it's quite good, but I don't like it as much as "Carry Me In Your Dreams".

Thankfully? I think it would be much better if it was more like "Bad Boys"

Oh I wasn't dissing Bad Boys - though I'm not a huge fan of it - but I'd rather countries send songs which aren't blatant rip offs of older songs! Listen to Your Heartbeat in 2001 bears more than a passing resemblence to The Winner Takes It All for example!

So doesn't the EBU always pick up on "plagiarism"?

But I agree that the beginning sounds a bit like "Bad Boys".

Tomorrow, Ukraine will announce the artist that will represent them, and launch a call for songs. The performer has been selected internally and kept very secret, but my sources tell me it is Vasily Lazarovich.

I'm not sure... what exactly does happen? There was a bit of a hoo-hah with Scooch and some Danish band wasn't there in 2007? Anna Vissi also got criticised by some with the comparisons in her songs 'Everything' and 'Everything I Am' - the former basically sounding like a slowed down version of the earlier recording.

After a few days on confusion, it has finally been confirmed...Israel have won Eurovision 2010.

Well, actually, it's just been confirmed that they are sending Harel Skaat

Wait 'til Armenia get their song out because it's gonna be fantastic!

He's good at looking good. Not sure about the song, though. Haven't got round to listening to them yet :P

Ukraine

Ukraine announces Vasiliy Lazarovich as their entrant for Oslo.

ESCKaz leaked that news yesterday and I posted in on here

To be honest, he doesn't look like the type of man who'd be interested in Eurovision. People on Esctoday don't seem to like his songs. But I guess everyone is thinking, "Well, we've had two males in a row so we need to send a male", so we've ended up with 5 males and 1 female so far.

I had a listen to one of his Hebrew songs earlier, was pretty decent. ^_^ And yeah I know he's f***ing gorgeous isn't he! I can't stop gawping at this photo seriously! And there must be better ones out there too. Ahhhhh...

Perhaps he could stand on the stage for 3mins with his shirt open, not singing at all, and still win (or at least get my vote)

Not sure it would do as well with the juries, though

If they get right judges it would :kink:

I'm quite confident on him being gay as well which is always a bonus! I'm still convinced Dima Bilan is too, but he never actually came out and said it did he?!
