I'm quite confident on him being gay as well which is always a bonus! I'm still convinced Dima Bilan is too, but he never actually came out and said it did he?!

I think Dima came out as being bi in a Belgrade press conference...

Oh did he? I know being gay's a bit of a taboo in Russia - and Israel for that matter - so wasn't sure on Dima's status lol... Israel's 2008 representative - Boaz was it? - came out as gay though didn't he?

Bulgarian entrant Miro is much hotter (and probably gay too:)

Ukraine's entrant chosen today is OK, but a bit Ming The Merciless :kink:

I thought Israel was quite open towards homosexuality, bisexuality etc., no? :o

Anywhore, not too keen on his songs, but he does have a good voice, so I'm sure he'll go far with the right song.

As for Ukraine, not too keen on that guy either. I was hoping Ukraine would send a ukrainian ballad. We could be looking at a Final sans Ukraine. :o

Oh yes Miro's not bad. Not a patch on Harel though. :heehee:

Oh I read somewhere it only became legal in 2004. I could be wrong though, but I'll have a look.

Edit: Oh no that's a load of bollocks, it's been legal since 1963. Which is longer than it has been in the UK!

Did someone mention Dima? Oh no, I didn't like him so much. The hunk of '08 had to be Boaz.

As for '09, Alexander Rybak may have been the "cutest guy in the contest", but the real hunk had to be Andrew Lloyd Webber :P

So Israel have already won 2010, unless the UK send...JLS  Then we can have FOUR shirtless guys on stage :D

Homosexuality is not a taboo in here, it just can't be accepted by people hence even gays are homophobes because they can't accept themselves completely so they have to hide :(

I agree, the hunk of '08 is Boaz  But Dima was in '06 as well :kink:

That guy in JLS with those enormous eyes (it can be seen on covers/some photos) scare the $h!t out of me. :(

Turkey is reported as having to decide between three names...Sebnem Ferah, Emre Aydin & Manga. The final decision should come within a week.

But Turkey is very slow this year. It was New Year's Eve/New Year's Day when we knew the artist & the song for 2009.

French fans have been asked who they want representing them, and guess who they said.....MIKA. :o He was born in Lebanon, but we all know that they don't take part, but Mika did spend 10 years living in France and can speak French perfectly.

I think it could happen. I'm sure he's said in the past that he'd be willing to represent Lebanon, and if France offer him enough money and tell him it's the fans that want him, he could agree :D

I would love if Mika represanted France
It'd be good if he represented them! I'd quite like it if France won tbh - I really want to go soon and France wouldn't be overly expensive and I'd get a decent holiday out of it! :P
Norway is probably the most expensice European country

My dream job would be something where I can take a couple of weeks holiday every May, and get enough pay to be able to afford to go to ESC each year :) Any suggestions? :P

The EBU have confirmed that there shall be 39 countries in Oslo. The withdrawals from Moscow are Andorra, Czech Republic, Hungary & Montenegro. The return in Georgia. France, Germany, Spain, UK & Norway are already in the final, and there will be 17 countries in each semi-final. The draw to decide which country will be in which semi-final will take place in early February, where they will also decide on which semi-final the automatic qualifiers shall vote in. The draw for the running order will take place on 22nd March.

Lithuania are back in! LOVED Sasha in Moscow. :D

17 in each semi is a nice size. Even more chances for Ireland to qualify. :kink:

I've heard that it's possible of Dima Bilan returning AGAIN for 2010.

I feel this is bad news as I don't really like him.

I am almost 100% certain it won't happen to be honest. Plus it'd be a VERY desperate move.
Ohhh Dima Bilan and that Israeli boy? PLEASE SAY THIS IS TRUE!

Dima Bilan? Agaaaaain?

Why would Russia need to do this? They can't be that desperate to host again, after all the €€€s spent in 2009.
