What a great weekend we have lined up! The start of MGP on Friday, the Icelandic selection starting on Saturday, and the Finnish selection starting on either Friday (I think, might actually be Saturday, can't quite remember).

 

And a good day today, too. Snippets from MGP, and now the first 5 songs from Iceland: Iceland: Song Previews 1

 

The bad news is, NRK seem to have removed the "Share The Moment" buses picture, and so my signature is ruined :(

So Bjorn & Elisabeth should get to the final, with Lene & Maria going to the second-chance round. But for me, only Bjorn or Elisabeth have the potential for Eurovision. Disappointed with Maria, let's just hope Mira & A1 don't disappoint as well.

Gaute Ormåsen - doesn't sound that great to be honest from the clip - 5/10

Lene Alexandra - sounds alright, a bit generic like Pavel said - 7/10

Johnny Hide - sounds like a Cliff Richard b-side in his heyday - 3/10

Bjørn Johan Muri - it's alright not seeing the fuss at the moment - 6/10

Elisabeth Carew - best so far, has great potential - 8.5/10

Maria Haukaas Storeng - sounded quite good to me - strings - flawless vocals too towards the end - 8.5/10

Keep Of Kalessin - tragic - 0/10

it sounds like every electro pop song of the last three years :( terrible vocals in the verses too and the band is hideous - like an even more hideous version of Pussycat Dolls (or Dana International :kink:)

Lene - Hugely disappointing, utterly generic and just can't go to Eurovision
