my new ratings on the full versions;

 

Gaute Ormåsen - has a nice melody but the 'oompa loompa' trumpet sound of the song is really naff (so is that word :heehee:) - 6/10

Lene Alexandra - far too generic, not bad and very catchy but would absolutely tank at ESC - would come last in the final for sure - 7/10

Johnny Hide - I still think it sounds extremely dated, Cliff Richard era Eurovision - it's ok but would flop hard - 5/10

Bjørn Johan Muri - I'm not really getting what everyone's finding amazing about this song, but it's growing - 7/10

Elisabeth Carew - very catchy and great chorus but lacking something to take it to the next level - 8.5/10

Maria Haukaas Storeng - sounds a bit like 'The Meaning of Love' by Michelle McManus :lol: not in the same league as Hold On Be Strong but the song I'd be most likely to listen to again from this lot - I like it a lot... - 9/10

Keep Of Kalessin - abysmal, I have no problem with rock/metal in ESC but I do like a tune with it - please let me never hear this again - 0/10

 

well, I'm not overly fussed by any of these on first listen :lol: I shall cross my fingers for qualification for Maria and Elisabeth, and I won't be too bothered if Bjorn gets through, whcih he probably will. MGP was amazing last year, seriously stunning, but if the other two semis are like this then I'm glad I didn't book tickets to go to the MGP final :lol: I have faith that Mira and A1 will please me :P

I take back everything bad I said about Maria. I'm really liking the full version.

I quite like Lene's full version, still it's not right for ESC.

 

Average semi overall, Maria's passed Elisabeth as my favourite though.

Gaute 10/10 f***ing epic, as expected, can't stop listening.

Bjørn 10/10 f***ing epic as well, but not as epic as i thought it would be by the looks ('listens' lol) of the snippets :( Still AMAZING.

Keep Of Kalessin 8/10 Big gap between them and Bjørn, but this song is so dark and heavy i love it.

Elisabeth 7.5/10 Good song, nothing to add really, i can't help but thinking somehow it's goinna be the darkhorse of the competition if it passes through the semi stage. :o

Maria 6.5/10 f***ing snoozefest. Wake Me Up When This Song September Ends :nocheer:

Lene 5.5/10 Generic, bland and raped to death theme for a song both lyrically and musically.
