Eirodziesma 2k10 time!

Lauris Reiniks 'Your Morning Lullaby' "Such a sweet song! VERY good! (Apart from the dreadful 'lullaby' word pronounciation :heehee: )" 9/10

PeR 'Like A Mouse' "OMG, totally cringeworthy lyrics, that 'meow' in the end was equal to throwing up. " 3/10

h2o 'When I Close My Eyes' "Pretty different and is great because of it. Can't say i liked the lyrics or the song as the whole though. It lacks something" 8/10

Dons (Artūrs Šingirejs) 'My religion is Freedom' "And it started so well! :nocheer: The back vocals totally ruin the song for me. And this dated sound in the next half is totally contradicting the first part of the song. That really looks bad. Oh and MADONNA DID THIS LANGUAGES THING WITH 'SORRY' A LITTLE BIT EARLIER THAN YOU. :smoke:" 5/10

Projekts Konike 'Digi Digi Dong' "I'd be embarassed to perform this song tbh. Especially with such VOICE. Seems like the songer is faking it and this is Ireland'08 all over again (i.e. travesty) -_- " 4/10

Aisha (Aija Andrejeva) 'What For? (Only Mr.God Knows Why)' "This started bad but grew up to be decent. Not keen on lyrics and music but son't mind the song actually on the whole." 6.5/10

Kristine Karkla 'Rišti Rašti' "This is SO GOOD! As soon as i saw the girl with the violin as the photo of the artist on the page i said that this would be EPIC. I did not hear much violins there (if not at all :heehee: ) but it doesn't hinder me saying THIS. IS. BRILLIANT." 10/10

Ivo Grisnins 'Grislis' "This is a soft song. Some VERY good moments in the opening minute by the way!" 8.5/10

Kristina Zaharova 'Snow in July' "Boring and $h!t." 4/10

Trianas parks 'Lullaby For My Dreammate (Diamond Lullaby)' "Surprisingly good! :o Cheesy lyrics imo. But this is definitely not the thing you'd see in ESC" 7/10

Is there any explanation of 'lullaby' word bumming i wonder?!

Justin Lee Collins or Ronan Keating?

It will be a novelty in that the whole thing is quite contrived, but in their defense, Ronan Keating writes a good song, Justin Lee Collins is a very good singer, and he has said that he's taking this whole thing very seriously and genuinely wants to go to Oslo and do as well as he can. The idea for his documentary actually sounds quite interesting!

If you've seen the shows he's done before where he tries to master a new skill or take on a challenge, you'll see he always puts 110% into whatever he's doing and gets into the spirit of the whole thing.

Justin Lee Collins... and he sings?! Oh, I didn't know that. :heehee: Now I'll wish him luck because he's serious about it. :)

Osmo is out of the Finnish selection...

Unbelievable

He even finished last. indeed!

:( Linn are through though! <3

Eläkeläiset in the final is :manson:

My favourite from each semi-final has got through :D Linn we my favourites in this one. Kind of a shame that Osmo won't be going to Oslo, what a joke that would be :kink:

Homens da Luta - Luta Assim Nao Dá 2/10 (and I think this one has the most votes out of the ones I've heard so far - No, Portugal, NO!)

Great news (almost as good as the news about the Tsunami song being disqualified from the Spanish selection)! The song I've quote above, you can tell I don't like, has been disqualified from the Portuguese selection. :yahoo: What a great year for Eurovision this will be if all bad songs get disqualified :P *frantically tries to find a reason why KoK can't be in the Norwegian selection*

I hate Jordan now, but it's strange cause I wanted her to represent the UK. I was like "She's pregnant, so she'll win"

I didnt want her too, because i think it would just be taking the p***, but then we sent Dustin the Turkey :drama:

I actually want JLC to represent Ireland after that interview! Excellent singer. :o

I'm so 2000 and late :(

A1 - Absolutely amazing! Crap lyrics but who expected more of it?! This is the boyband after all 9.5/10

Mira - No comment. The 3rd favourite off her behind Headhunted and Put It On Me respectively. 10/10

Karoline - The good stuff. Catchy and new, so lovely. 8.5/10

Belinda - quite annoying in the end  Nice overall though. 7/10

Fred - THE MOST REPETITIVE/STUPID/$h!t chorus i've heard in a LONG time. Some good moments slip to my hearing and then their positive influence get completely blocked by the chorus and some patchy vocals. 3/10

The Diamond - Annoying as hell. How the hell did they get even to the semi finals after what you can hear in the last part of the song?! 5/10

Didrik - Despite the funny artist's first name this song is incredible! Josh Groban/Il Divo-esqueness will ALWAYS win me over. 10/10

1. Mira

2. Didrik

3. A1

4. Karoline

Are the ones i shall not delete from my Norway 2010/Semi3 folder :kink:

Is there anywhere I can see it??

You can see the show here. Skip to 1:31:00 to get Justin's bit. ^_^

I've actually just watched that interview with Justin Lee Collins. I've got nothing against him, or Ronan, and I am sure he is very serious and enthusiastic about it. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that he is already representing Ireland at Eurovision, despite the fact he hasn't even heard the song himself yet.

Unfortunately (nothing against the Irish posters on here), I've always had a suspicion that the game is not quite straight in the Irish Eurovision selections, and I'm pretty sure that despite the fact the hundreds of potential entries have to go through a panel of judges, Justin Lee Collins will definitely have a place in the national final regardless of the quality of the song.

I'm not a person who would freely throw around the three letter word beginning with "f" and I wouldn't go that far, but I'd think he already has one foot on the plane to Oslo.

My computer doesn't buffer videos quickly, so I probably wouldn't be able to watch his interview, so if someone has time, would they be able to sum it up for me?

And given that he manages to submit a song within the deadline, I think he will certainly be in their selection...and on his way to Oslo! I don't mind though, Ronan should be able to write a good song, and JLC is quite good at singing.

I'll be surprised if the MGP winner isn't from Semi 3, listening to this Didrik song fully, it's very Cyndi - I'll Leave My Heart, plus Josh Groban/Il Divo/You Raise Me Up as Pavel said

if this song doesn't win then SURELY A1 will? nothing else screams winner unless Keep of Kalessin win from the novelty or Mira because of her celeb status

So Ronan has a chance of representing both Denmark and Ireland! Has that ever happened before?

Edited by Time out

it would be nice if Ronan kept some of these songs he keeps writing for himself, his last two solo albums have consisted entirely of covers :/ if he's coming up with stuff like Believe Again, why isn't he keeping it for himself :o

Yes. Thomas G:Son wrote for Spain and Norway in 2007 as well as having songs in the Romanian and Swedish selections.
