I loved Te Stein! it was one of my top 40 most played songs of last year according to iTunes  I don't know how it will pan out below A1/Didrick - all of them have a decent chance to come 3rd I think, but I'm inclined to go with Bjorn or Keep Of Kalessin

had Norway sent Butterflies last year, we would have been looking forward to ESC in Iceland at the moment, hosted no doubt by the legendary Eva and Ragnhildur :kink: if they could have afforded to host it of course!

I reckon "Butterflies" could've have still won, or at least come top 5. But if Norway hadn't won last year, it would probably be Baku 2010....Iceland 2nd, but declining to host so instead going for 3rd placed Azerbaijan. Or maybe the UK...we've hosted in the past when the winner couldn't

who's this at 2:48 giving Iceland's points in 2007? :kink:

I doubt it, gorgeous song but definitely not a winner, it didn't have the same impact as Fairytale as a performance, it was too twee and happy - a bit like Ira Losco's 7th Wonder in 2002 (who really should have beaten Marie N :()

I reckon Iceland would have actually tried to get the funding from somewhere, they've been waiting ages for it! Selma really should have beaten Charlotte in 1999 :arrr:

here's a nice joke for a Monday afternoon - two of the worst possible songs finished in the best 5th place to qualify for the MGP second chance round;

Skanksters - Life is here today

Johnny Hide - Rewind love

ridiculous...goodbye Tomine, she didn't even come 5th in her semi :drama: neither did Rocketfuel! Now we have to sit again through this Madness clone and the Cliff Richard b-side :(

OH. DEAR. :puke: They couldn't have gone THAT low. :/

OMG. Eva and Ragnhildur are my idols now.

Jerick (or anyone who knows), could you please tell me how to pronounce the name of the second-chance round in MGP?

And if anyone knows, also the name of the second-chance round in MF?

Ah, from that film poster, I've finally managed to work out who is who. I prefer Ragnhildur to Eva. Very beautiful in that poster

don't know the Norwegian one, but MF is 'andra chansen' standing for another chance

I know what they are, I just want to know how to pronounce them  Is it how it looks? And-ra chan-sen?

Norway's is Siste Sjansen, so would that be Sis-te S-jan-sen? Just the "sjansen" bit I'm not quite sure about

it's pronounced like 'on-druh charn-son' I think...

Watching that reminded me how annoying Wogan was doing ESC :P Especially when he said 'this is not exciting', just because the UK flopped doesn't mean people don't like seeing their fave songs do well.

We call it 'Siste Sjansen' = 'Last Chance'

but if we say 'Second-chance' it will be 'Andre sjansen'

Yes, it reminded me that Wogan wasn't actually that funny in the end. Norton is much better

"The whole nation has chipped in to pay for this satellite link" - Norton talking about Iceland

"...getting paid by the minute" - Norton explaining why the Czech Republic spokesperson has paused

"Ooh, here come Portugal" - Norton

"8pts got to Portugal" - Spanish Spokesperson

"Oh, what a great start for Jade & Andrew" - Norton

"10pts go to United Kingdom" - Spanish Spokesperson

Sure he was physic when Spain was announcing their votes
