As well as the Coral song Tom posted a few pages back, here are a few other songs doing well in the Spanish voting at the moment. It looks like quite a good bunch.

 

Venus - Perfecta

Venus are as far as I'm aware, a girl group made up of former X Factor contestants. Not the most original idea (Serebro, EMD), or the most original song, but it's very catchy and would certainly be a contemporary choice to represent Spain for a change.

wow...this was certainly rigged in Mira's favour wasn't it :lol: I hope and expect Venke to beat Karoline to be honest, Bjorn is easily going further, not sure about Gaute and Heine, I wouldn't be surprised at either one!

Ah, then this is so fixed. Bjorn will easily beat Skanksters & then Gaute (or Heine). Mira will easily beat Johnny & then Venke (or Karoline).

 

But really, what's the point in a second chance round? They will only have once chance to perform at Eurovision, and if a song can't get straight to the final, I doubt it can get enough votes to win MGP.

some songs are growers, I like the fact that they get a second chance...I'm sure DQ's Drama Queen, Denmark's 2007 entry, only qualified for their final through the second round...and had Caroline Af Ugglas got 4,000 more televotes in Sweden last year that would have been the most dramatic loser to winner turnaround ever :drama: Snalla Snalla was incredibly close to pulling off the unthinkable, the song was such a grower that it didn't hit a lot of people until her second and third performances of it - hence why I think it's a good thing to have

 

having said that, the increased exposure that Caroline and Sarah Dawn Finer got (the latter was on three weeks in a row!) is perhaps a bit unfair to the likes of Emilia and Alcazar who had performed only once a month beforehand and were less well remembered than others until the final. Still a good enough song should always do well but broadcasters do like to pull every trick in the book to ensure the acts that they want to do best are on last or twice or something :lol:

See, this is why I don't like the second chance round (even though I'll still be watching it). "Drama Queen" was crap

 

But maybe that's why I hated "Snalla Snalla", because I only listened to it once.
