lol

I miss the old Netherland, Belgium, France :(

and omg Luxembourg

I miss Luxembourg too, but Belgium are still great, and the Netherlands were never that good TBH... France are promising another big star next year :cheer:
Belgium and Netherlands have been atrocious almost all the way through the noughties with the exceptions of Netherlands 2001 and 2003 (both were hugely underrated in my opinion although 2003 was more Swedish sounding than Dutch...) and Belgium 2006 (obviously - how on earth did it DNQ :snif:) and 2008 (loved O Julissi so much )...I guess Sanomi and 1 Life were ok but neither were amongst my favourites
1 Life was amazing  Sanomi I couldn't fucking stand!

the whole top 3 of 2003 shouldn't have been there in my opinion...

Jostein/Fame/Birgitta would have been a better top 3 :kink:

1 Life was quite a standard dance song but Xandee was such an over the top vocalist that it completely put me off  :(

I loved the Turkish version  :kink:
Yep, I think it was just a TV performance, but I have the mp3 somewhere

So... 2000 - 2009 is going to be called the noughties.. -_-

that sound so creapy :P I don't know what it means thou

I liked "Shine" this year, but didn't like the Dutch entry last year. It wasn't painful to listen to, just a bit boring.

France promised a big name this year, and I was disappointed (I really didn't like the song). So I'm taking this new promise very lightly, and not expecting something amazing

Well Patricia Kaas is a big name...I'm sure we'll get somebody relatively big this year as well. They're not promising "a name that bigzarafan will love" :P

For the contest in Moscow they chose probably the most famous french singer in Russia. :o Coincidence much :heehee:

Edited by The Fame Pavster

Patricia's song grew on me, it was very typically French, especially the last 30 seconds or so...

having said that, I do think there have been better French entries this decade that performed worse, A Chaque Pas for example

I don't mind Patricia (I thought her performance was really good), I think it was just the song

But I really liked "Divine" in 2008, but didn't think the performance was that great

Would David Guetta be too much to ask for? Would need to be more "When Love Takes Over" than "Sexy Bitch" though

The most famous French singer in Russia still can't get their 12pts?

As a reference to what we could be expecting, does anyone know the most famous French singer in Norway?

*tries to picture Sexy Bitch representing France in Eurovision*

it would have finished bottom ten for sure!

I'd have hoped, but I'm not so sure. I think it did well in some countries charts, like Poland & Croatia, plus the UK, although it didn't quite make it to #1 here. Also spent quite a long time at #1 in Australia, didn't it?

I think Australia cares more about ESC than some actual participating countries, like Spain. Australia send their own commentators, but Spain can't show the semi-final they ASKED to vote in because of some tennis :o
