Doylestown-born pop superstar P!nk delivered a one-hour songwriting “master class” — while joined by collaborator, EMI Records exec, and fellow Philadelphian Billy Mann — Saturday, October 3rd, at 3 p.m. at the University of the Arts’ Levitt Auditorium. Unfortunately, the event was for University of the Arts and High School for the Creative and Performing Arts students and was not open to the public, a spokesperson for UArts told us. What was open to the public is P!nk’s Wachovia Center show on Saturday night — a homecoming gig on her current, much-publicized Funhouse Tour.

The University of the Arts (UArts) is one of the nation’s oldest universities dedicated to the arts. Its campus makes up part of the Avenue of the Arts in Center City, Philadelphia. The University is composed of three colleges: the College of Art and Design, the College of Performing Arts and the College of Media and Communication. The Levitt Auditorium in Gershman Hall can seat 850 but there is also standing-room-only for up to 1,500.
