Posted October 6, 200915 yr The invite-only exclusive performance by Mariah at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in Tribeca, New York packed the venue to its capacity last night. Mariah looked stunning and performed "Obsessed," "Always Be My Baby," "H.A.T.E.U.," "I Want To Know What Love Is," and "We Belong Together." The show was recorded and will be put up on iheartradio.com at some point. At the show, Mariah mentioned that although they will still be working on "I Want To Know What Love Is," her next single is "H.A.T.E.U." and that she absolutely loves the remixes for "H.A.T.E.U." Looks like they are making the right choices this time round
October 7, 200915 yr Not one of my favourites. I'd have liked "Standing O" or "Up Out My Face" next, but I guess this is a fan favourite.
October 7, 200915 yr You surely don't believe H.A.T.E. U. is lead single material Joe? Great choice for third though.
October 7, 200915 yr I do, Obsessed certaintly wasn't its such a gimmicky song the same way touch my body was a bad lead single. I want to know what love is might have been a better lead single than H.A.T.E.U. but its an un-commercial album and its one of the strongest on there.
October 7, 200915 yr Love it. Great choice for the third single, hopefully they'll do a great video for it aswell.
October 7, 200915 yr is she ever gonna release anything from this era in the UK? I think she's almost certainly going for "I Want To Know What Love Is" for the lead single here. I expect that's why the album was pushed back so much here, to give time for the video to come out and for it to get airplay. Releasing the album after the non-single that was "Obsessed" was never going to work, this should get it back on track. It's a shame they wasted "Obsessed" here, it seemed to get a lot of video play and people talking about it. Would have been a hit, now there's little to nothing left on the album for the UK. Really don't know what would have made a good lead single for this album. "Obsessed" was clearly too novelty to sell albums, "I Want To Know What Love Is" is way too subtle and this is quite bland, still don't get why it's so loved. Seems like the sort radio will love, but no one will buy like Ciara's "Like A Surgeon" or something.
October 8, 200915 yr Great track, but I'm not sure it'll do much now. I would've loved for this to be the lead single, but in hindsight and with the way radio is treating ballads, "Obsessed" was probably the right choice. What does everyone think of the "H.A.T.E.U." remix? I think it's strong, but not as great as MC and co were pimping it to be. Her voice is fire on the newly recorded parts, though.
October 8, 200915 yr personally i think the record is superb but it is so uncommercial and i dont see any of the songs being a hit here unfortunately. hope the album gets decent sales though. angels cry is a piece of perfection!!!!! Edited October 8, 200915 yr by rossyboy88
October 9, 200915 yr The official remix leaked. Big Boi from Outkast, OJ Juiceman and Gucci Mane are featured: XrOMngL6qts It's pretty great! New vocals and everything. It's very 2001-ish and the original is still better but I really like it.
October 9, 200915 yr Oficially love this now! Not to sure how it's gonna do though! Love the remix too
October 9, 200915 yr I really don't get why people are into this song.....it is a snooze-fest and boring......Angels Cry (would do well like We Belong Tegether) , Candy Bling, Up Out My Face, or It's A Wrap (reminds me of Shake It Off and this would do well with a good video).
October 15, 200915 yr HATEU already has 1m audience impressions in the US with less than 50 spins (thats a pretty amazing start)...
November 5, 200915 yr Has anyone seen the pictures of her filming the video presumably for this on perezhilton.com...she looks a tad chubby.
