July 1, 200619 yr It doesn't matter who started it. If someone does a really bad foul and the other player reacts with a headbutt they're not going to not get punished because "they didn't start it". It happened with Turkey in the play-offs last year against the Swiss. Their punishments were: - Turkey to play six games behind closed doors in neutral venue at least 312 miles from Turkish border - Turkish Football Federation fined £90,000 plus £9,000 costs - Alpay gets six-game ban; £7,500 fine - Emre gets six-game ban; £7,500 fine - Serkan Balci gets two-game ban; £2,500 fine - Mehmet Ozdilek gets 12-month ban from football; £7,500 fine And then these are the Swiss ones... - Benjamin Huggel gets six-game ban; £7,500 fine - Stephan Meyer gets two-game ban; £3,000 fine I would expect the punishments to be ATLEAST equal to what Turkey recieved. And if Bierhoff is partly responsible he will be punished too, just like the Swiss player and physio.
July 1, 200619 yr Oh don't get me wrong I thought the Argentines behaved disgracefully especially Tevez who ran about 50 yards to swing a punch and Heinze who was like a wild animal, Argentines should be punished for sure, I hope though that if it turns out Bierhoff provoked them that he is also punished though
July 1, 200619 yr That would be the fans though, not the effing players :puke2: Well, frankly, I'd rather a few players had a bit of a dust-up after a game than hundreds of so-called "fans" rioting in the streets to be honest.... A bit of a bitch-slappy fight is far more preferable to a riot surely....?
