Surprised Salem's ahead of Timoteij to be honest :o thinking about it in more detail, it's rather bizarre that upcoming stars Salem, Timoteij, Eric and Anna beat Swedish megastars Ola, Andreas Johnson, Darin and Peter Joback in their respective semis :o I would have put good money on the latter four beating the other four in their semis! Sweden clearly want to send the best song to ESC and not the biggest star...

The studio version of Headlines is absolutely fantastic, the harmonies before the chorus are brilliant :wub: t's the same transformation in opinion I had when I heard the studio version of Stay The Night! Although this doesn't mean it will be at #1 in my chart for 8 weeks :lol:

All the forums have moved onto criticising NEO (instead of Salem, although i only presume they did criticise him at all, wasn't watching the discussion of the semi 1) for stealing Mika's style etc :lol: I personally don't see how Salem is 'Mika-esque', they have similar voices yes but since when having a similar voice with a person who got to be famous before yourself is necessarily a style stealing and everything?! :( Plus Salem is miles better than Mika.

whilst I know what you mean, remember that these are odds to win, and I guess they think that Neo's song will be more appealing to the international juries than Alcazar and Pernilla's typical Scandi-pop songs, which if they make the final have literally no chance of winning (not that I think that Neo has a chance though :lol:)

I reckon those odds are completely out anyway to be honest :lol:

 

I guess they think of Underbart as a traditional Swedish folk song which could rake in the traditional votes, except this is not the 1990's and world music never does well in ESC now unless it has a contemporary edge a la Fairytale or Lejla/Lane Moje. Underbart most definitely isn't contemporary in any way :lol:

 

It's something I could imagine various juries voting for if it somehow made the final (particularly those from Eastern Europe), but it definitely wouldn't feature in the public votes...
