here is how I think they'll finish, if semi 4 didn't exist...

1st - Timoteij

2nd - Salem Al Fakir

3rd - Darin

4th - Eric Saade

5th - Ola

6th - Andreas Johnson

Andra Chansen

1st - Alcazar (to final)

2nd - Pain Of Salvation (to final)

3rd - Underbart (can't remember who it's by)

4th - Crucified Barbara

5th - Jessica Andersson

6th - Pauline

I imagine Peter Joback will come in and upset the balance next week - I'm REALLY hoping he sends something awful so it can be a straight fight between Timoteij and Salem

You do realise that they aren't actually allowed to use the instruments onstage anyway? Rybak didn't actually use his violin at all in the ESC last year...

Really?? :o I feel like a flop ESC fan! :drama: Don't tell to anybody! :(

 even Dervish were only pretending to play! The only live part of that performance was the diabolical vocals from the lead female

Didn't know that as well. The only right way to do for me is to commit a suicide now! :drama:

 did you never think it was amazing how they played the instruments identically to the backing track? Live instrumentation doesn't sound like that :heehee:
I don't know why, but universally forums seem to be in shock that Timoteij qualified :o Am I the only one that hears this as the near-guaranteed winner of this year's contest, on a par with Fairytale? :drama:

No. I agree with you. Whether Sweden pick it is another matter altogether...Norway are well known for more often than not making the right decision in their national final...Sweden however thought that Las Vegas would be more appropriate for Eurovision than Hall Om Mig...

I am believing that as well! Seems like a HUGE contender for the win and bookmakers' favourite!

-_-

I see. Does the fact that this won over Darin have any bearing on hinting that it could win overall or is it common for shocks like this to happen in the earlier stages?
-_-

I didn't mean literally :P But this is the only place online that actually seems to think they've made the right decision there :o

Mark my words. If they do, Sweden have won this year, I'm certain.

Caught up in the moment much???

Caught up in the moment much???

I agree  It was not THAT impressing was it? :P

Caught up in the moment much???

Not at all! :P I get the exact same vibe from it that I got from Fairytale last year...

I'm dying for an mp3! :arrr:

Well surely winning over Darin is at least " :o "

It's hard to say seeing as we've never had the advantage before of knowing who won the semis before the final has taken place. Seeing as Salem, Eric and Timoteij won their semis, you'd assume they'd all be top 5 in the final but there are other factors to take into account too, not least the jury votes! Will they go yet again for the Kempe pop production and be prepared to flop hard in ESC AGAIN (Eric) or will they go for something more original in Salem or Timoteij?

Apparently Kom was originally written in English as Run, so there won't be a need for a dire transation job if it wins

Timoteij were amazing, but Katy Satyn's attempt at Eurovision for Belgium in 2008 was a much better example of this type of music. Both of Sarek's MF entries are too.

Still, I hope they win, and I think translating it into English wouldn't help at all. It'll lose it's charm.

Feel sorry for Elin, I think performing third didn't help. Alcazar should hopefully qualify from second chance, and will hopefully then be in contention of winning thanks to being performed about 10 times  .

At the moment, nothing comes anywhere near Timoteij in terms of quality in my opinion (apologies to Salem fans!).

I know exactly what you mean. I got it with Charlotte Nilsson in 1999, Ruslana in 2004 and Alexander last year, and they all won :o

I had winners vibes with both Ruslana and Alexander too! Put money on both the first time I was able to find a bookies that would accept my bet! Helena too to an extent I guess, but it wasn't as strong...

my sister was CERTAIN that both Lordi and Marija Serifovic would definitely win, months before the contest, and I told her that there wasn't a hope in hell for either of them  I should have listened -_-
