Oh I'm loving Kom, thanks for the link. Very catchy, I could see it doing very well at Eurovision (not 100% sure of a win yet though). I just hope Sweden sends it as there are so many songs they've should've sent (like Delta said, it was criminal Nanne didnt win in 2005, how it didnt win over Las Vegas ill never know - from memory didnt Nanne win the public vote but Vegas got more points from the jury?).

 

that's correct - Nanne won the televote by a landslide, but Las Vegas won the jury vote where Nanne didn't do as well and Martin won by a tiny margin in the end...much like in 2008 when Charlotte Perrelli went to the final thanks to the juries despite Sanna Nielsen's Empty Room being the overwhelming favourite with the televoters...sad for Sanna as she genuinely seems to be one of the nicest stars Sweden has, and that may well have been her biggest and last chance to go to Eurovision :( I really think Empty Room could have come top ten too.

That really would be very sad :( they're quite similar yes but I don't Melodifestivalen is littered with songs that sound like other songs, and they never get disqualified.

To say Kom sounds like Vinterland is like saying Kom sounds like ALL Sarek songs, as nearly all the tracks on all three of their albums sound like that :lol: And apart from the second line in the chorus and maybe the intro, the two songs really aren't that similar.

 

I would be very surprised if Kom gets disqualified as there have been so many other MF entries that sound more like another song. Not A Sinner, Nor A Saint as mentioned above is a prime example.

I'm still not certain that Kom will debut at #1 in my chart - top 3 is almost certain I suppose but Backseat and Keep On Walking refuse to let go at the moment...
