Wow, that looks epic. May well buy it, but waiting for the MF stuff to come out before I order off CDON again, less hassle as I'll only have to phone the bank up once then to let them know it's not fraud  . For some reason, they think my card can be used in Wales one minute and Malmo the next!

same here Ghosty - my bank account was stopped when I paid for flights/hotel for Stockholm  I wasn't impressed but it was sorted fairly quickly! 75 of the tracks are MF entries (and the inlay says the place that they finished in MF and in ESC for the winners), the last track on each disc is not an MF track but a 'joker' as it's called which is a nice touch - although I'm not a huge fan, it's nice to have Tingalin on CD

Swedish novelty songs are so much more entertaining - this Markoolio/Linda Bengtzing song is a MF parody which apparently got to #1 in Sweden! I love the video - 'BWO' and 'Carola' in particular  the 3 minute length, the key change, ballad middle 8, the immense wind machine power - perfection

Haha I love it!

Apparently this was actually submitted as a Melodifestivalen entry in 2006 with Shirley Clamp singing it! Not surprised it didn't get in :P

I'm definitely buying this Absolute Schlager CD in Stockholm, even though there's considerable overlap with the one I've already got

it's fantastic isn't it - I love the melody too actually! I read that too - can you really imagine Christer putting a mockery of the contest through to the semis :heehee:

I got it on the Scandinavian and Norwegian Music website - such a good site, you can get the stuff for UK prices - £13.99 with P&P it cost me - probably slightly less than it will actually be to buy it in Sweden  there is some overlap but I still think it's a more than worthwhile purchase - it's far better and more comprehensive

so many great discoveries from earlier MF's - the sudden world music interest in 1994-1996 was rather bizarre - the songs from these years all sound like Enya  the CD has a very coherent running order too, the big schalger/ESC hits at the start of each disc, the runner up ballads at the end of disc 2 and a small rock portion at the end of disc 3

Salem just went to Globen :o

:party2:

can't WAIT to see him live next month! yes that is him in my sig and I'll be sending him to the next BJSC! absolutely (Damien) adore Keep On Walking by the way :kink:

weird this year - Salem went straight through and then the other 4 songs were still open for voting...so Salem won the semi then I presume? great for him if he did!

Salem and Ola to the final :cheer:

Jessica and Pain of Salvation to Andra Chansen

these were easily my four favourite songs of the semi (with Salem/Ola being my two favourites) so I'm incredibly pleased with these results :cheer:

Good result :cheer:

I managed to watch this, though the pyrotechnics made the picture very bad in parts

The results were very predictable, and satisfactory - Pain Of Salvation grew on me lots tonight. I still love Jenny Silver's song too though

most of the songs grew on me - due to hearing them in full

I massively went off the rap song and the middle aged man dramatic song was still dire...Jenny and Linda were both 'quite good' for me, but I really loved the top 4

My two favourites (from the clips, I haven't heard the full songs) went through to either the final or the second-chance :cheer: Ola & Jessica :) At least one national selection went right tonight

Very happy with the results tonight!!

Not sure I'm too fond of the new way of doing the results, but I suppose it's better than the knock-outs. If it had been like this last year Caroline would have been DTG.

Very much looking forward to seeing Ola and Salem live. I'm a bit gutted about Linda being put out but I didn't have high hopes for her anyways. Delighted Anders is gone, and not fussed on the two songs through to Andra Chansen.

f*** my swedish friend, she told me who went trough in MF :(

just because I voted for Didrik...

Don't blame her tbh :kink:

I prefer that there are no duels, and seemingly no unnecessary '11th place' - the last thing I want is to sit through another Sofia incident with a muted crowd...

however, the fact that it seems fairly obvious that Salem won the heat (seeing as voting continued for the other 4 songs, Ola included) should make it easier for the bookies to guess who will do best  I've always had a soft spot for Salem, Astronaut was one of my favourite songs of last year - and Backseat is one of my favourite songs now! I'm really happy that he's made the final with a great song too - can't wait to see him live. I MUST try and get a picture with him :heehee:

It kinda ruined my night :(

Didrik was by far the best song tonight

A1 was good but they wasn't like Didrik even if they sung the last sentance in Norwegian...

Yes Salem did win the heat. However I'm sure the fact Ola had another round of voting and his song was seen again should have evened things up a bit. The Snalla Snalla / Yes Man theory should come into play.

It kinda ruined my night :(

Just to try and clear things up.....did you or did you not cast a vote for A1 on my behalf?

I didn't sorry :(
