Friday was a good episode imo on the whole. Rachel and Dot getting Julia's Theme at the end may not have been ideal and I definatly would have prefered for Stacey or Max to get it but it was more for Bradley than for Rachel so arguably it doesnt matter who was there.

Dissapointing not see Tanya or Stacey show up. The majority of the other scenes were awful though, the Patrick & Liz ones I suppoe provided something but the chav gang ones are awful, its a shame to see a good character like Whitney being dragged down in this. Oh and Roxy & Peggy should just die :D

Jane (to Max): "We were married once... almost."

OH. Wife Swap? I thought I'd missed a major plotline then.

John Partridge's Attitude shoot is :o

I wonder what Daily Mail will make of this one after the fuss over Tomasz Schafernaker :kink:

He just looks his usual self in it, ie. older than his years and no sexier than your average middle-aged man. :(

Enders star: 'Sean Tully is a stereotype'

'Enders star: 'Sean Tully is a stereotype'

EastEnders actor John Partridge has claimed that Coronation Street's Sean Tully is a "stereotype" of a homosexual man.

In an interview with Attitude magazine, Partridge conceded that the Weatherfield character does represent some members of the gay community, but added that his Walford alter ego Christian Clarke has been carefully crafted to be the opposite of Sean.

Sean, played by Antony Cotton, first appeared in Coronation Street in 2003 before becoming a permanent fixture on the soap a year later.

Meanwhile, Partridge's character Christian was created in 2008 by former EastEnders boss Diederick Santer. The barman is currently involved in a high-profile gay plot with practising Muslim Syed Masood (Marc Elliott).

Reflecting on the differences between the two characters, Partridge commented: "What I didn't want as a stereotype was what I call a teatime gay. The Sean Tully type of character is the reason my character is here.

"I've worked in theatre for 20 years and there are lots of queens in the West End that look and act like that. I'm not going to diss his performance or his style, or say 'Who does he think he's representing?' because he is representing one of those shades of gay.

"It may not be your taste, but if that character hadn't happened and been so successful, I don't think the BBC would have gone, 'Right, we need a gay character'."

Of the current Syed and Christian plotline, he added: "It's groundbreaking for a soap to address sexuality and religion. I'm a gay man, my family are Christians, and I'm sure there's a part of them that goes, 'I don't really agree with that,' but they get on with it."

In October last year, Partridge said that he felt "immensely proud" of the story.

^^^^^ Too true!

I despise that Sean Tully character. He looks like a pig.

PEGGY "US COUGARS" MITCHELL, COFFIN DODGER

Details have today emerged of EastEnders' forthcoming two-hander episode focusing on killer Stacey Branning and her father-in-law Max in the aftermath of the troubled character's murder confession.

The special instalment of the BBC soap will see Max bundling Stacey into a car and driving off after he finally manages to track her down following her disappearance, the Daily Mail reports.

In subsequent scenes, the pair are expected to be seen having a huge bust-up as Max (Jake Wood) orders Stacey (Lacey Turner) to tell the police that she was the real killer of villain Archie Mitchell.

Detectives who investigated Archie's death currently believe that Stacey's late husband Bradley was the culprit after he met his death while running from police who were about to take him into custody.

However, the soap's live episode on February 19 saw Stacey confessing to Max that she was responsible for the murder, leaving him determined to clear his son's name.

Speaking of the upcoming two-hander, a Walford source said: "This is going to be dynamite viewing. It has been in the planning for months, but we could only film it once the live EastEnders episode had gone ahead because we had to keep the Archie's killer storyline a secret from everyone, including the cast."

EastEnders' former executive producer Diederick Santer recently said that the episode will explore the full reasons of why Stacey attacked Archie and confirm "whether she really meant to kill him".

Max and Stacey's two-hander will air on Friday, March 26 at 8pm on BBC One.

Did anyone else notice that the Branning meal didnt include Jack?
Did anyone else notice that the Branning meal didnt include Jack?

Yeah I noticed that. Maybe they thought he'd be bit of a spare part since everyone else had a reason to be there? (Pat and Carol don't get on, Whitney being accepted by Carol, Bianca and Carol don't get on etc. etc.)

The upcoming thing with Ronnie and this

little girl

is annoying me lol.

I hope its Louise but why would Lisa basically dump her outside the tube and wave her off? Must be bad if shes leaving her to Phil

That's if it's her at all :P

How can it annoy you when it's not been aired yet? :heehee: We'll know the finer details soon enough!

Oh Jark 'impatient' is my middle once I read spoilers and dont have answers :drama:

I think it's Jack's. Dull dull dull if that's the case.

Surely Phil would recognise his own child? [Or Peggy at least].
I love all the Snow in Eastenders at the moment, when we literally had no snow for a while
