Spoilers Gary!

I have to wait until 10 to watch this because of the bloody clash with Emmerdale! Argh!

What a randomly fabulous episode

Tracey, Chelsea - that smack! - the loan shark guy, the creepy uncle, Lucie and Ian...I could go on!

Nevermind 2 murders though, Lucas just filled Trina's hole in record time :o

Loved the final shot of poor Sugar.

Lucas just filled Trina's hole in record time :o

Funny enough that did cross my mind, does it really take 10 mins to drag a body to the square and fill a hole, and run up the stairs

And I hope that Kim and her man don't became regulars, I don't like them.

oh... and my guess the next person to go, in the next month or two will be... Ben  no sad loss there.

EXCLUSIVE: Dr Al to leave 'EastEnders'

Thursday, November 26 2009, 12:46 GMT

By Kris Green, Soaps Editor

EastEnders actor Adam Croasdell will bow out of the show in the early part of next year, Digital Spy can exclusively confirm.

The 29-year-old - who plays resident GP Dr Al Jenkins - recently finished filming with the East-End soap and is about to embark on a charity trip to Malawi with relief and development organisation World Vision.

Speaking of his exit, Croasdell told DS: "I have worked with and befriended a lot of fantastic actors while I have been at EastEnders. I am very grateful for my time on the show and all the support shown to me to me by the wonderful viewers who have followed my storylines and been so supportive. I see it as a chapter in my ongoing work as an actor - as I am always interested in new challenges, so I am looking forward to future projects."

He is expected to make his screen exit in February.

Having grown up in Walford as a child, Al first returned to the Square in May to visit his mother and soon became the local doctor. He quickly became involved with Heather Trott's (Cheryl Fergison) pregnancy plot, before going on to have a brief dalliance with Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner). Al then served as the catalyst for Stacey Slater's (Lacey Turner) sectioning as her bipolar disorder spiralled out of control.

More recently, he has become entangled in a love triangle between Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) and Chelsea Fox (Tiana Benjamin).

A Walford source said: "Al's a massive support to Roxy following Archie's death at Christmas, and when he's offered a job at his father's medical practice in Cornwall, he decides to up sticks and leave the high life behind. But will he manage to convince Roxy or Chelsea to go with him? Or will he go off into the sunset alone?"

Croasdell recently revealed that he would be playing the role of James Bond in Activision's next game in the franchise.

Barbara Windsor (Peggy Mitchell), Charlie Clements (Bradley Branning) and Josie Lawrence (Manda Best) are all due to leave next year.

Executive producer Diederick Santer will also step down at the end of February to make way for incoming exec and former Hollyoaks producer Bryan Kirkwood.

Wasn't this week just brilliant? My housemate is watching the omnibus so I'm watching again and thursday's double epi really was great from start to end. All the little things like the extras getting decent lines and the fact that for the first time it seemed believable that Denise was about to get married. And it really struck me that both Chelsea and Patrick are great supporting characters. It's so nice that Patrick isn't relegated to shitty 'comedic' OAP storylines in the way that Charlie is. The man is an institution!

I had to rewatch Traceys scenes. Loved her covering for the Mitchells.

I'm so glad she never gets much to do, it's such a treat when she does :D

Speaking of Tracy, I'm sure this has been posted before but it's a lovely little watch:

The episode she said that to Sean about the Mitchells was when I was having my break from Eastenders - I can't believe I've never seen it before now! Fabulous!

Aww bless she is so lovely and just lives for Tracey!

Loved those lines to Sean! Classic T

  • 2 weeks later...
I read today that both Martin Kemp and Kacey Ainsworth would like to return to eastenders, id love kacey to go back as i always loved little mo

I really enjoyed Jean this week and nivce to have stacey back. The whole ian and janine thing bored me we seen it all before. I really felt sorry for Max this week and i think we knew tanya would kinda leave in that way, interesting to see what max will get up to why tanya is away im sure he is gonna sleep around in her absense.

I wonder have we seen the last of syd, or will she comeback for bradleys exit i wonder???

I think that's it for Syd, and I'm kind of glad. She became too whiney. I have to say I shed a tear when Bradley was at Stacey's front door on friday. It was lovely! Tanya's exit was a bit rushed I felt (and why couldn't bloody Abi have gone?!) but still, it was a great epi. You can tell it's almost Christmas with all this drama in soapland.
I felt like slapping abi when she wouldnt go with tanya, she is such a daddy's girl but i suppose that happens in every walk life
