2009 charity single appears to be cover of Michael Jackson hit You Are Not Alone in aid of Great Ormond Street Hos.

According to reports all 12 acts will sing it live for the first time on November 15's results show, and the single will go on sale the next day.

Bah! Great for the charity, of course, but I was kind of hoping we'd be spared another one this year.

^ Me too, predictable and dire song choice as well. :( Will rob some deserving acts of a #01 spot as well.
Just watching now, rather boring so far  I hate this type of music!

Rachel  Joe  Stupid streaming didn't let me watch Stacey though but i will download the show now as always so :w00t:

I also did REALLY like Miss Frank. And kind of liked Lucie.

Amazing show comparing to the previous two weeks.

Rachel... she gave a very good performance but imo she killed all likeability factor at the end. Was just too fake for me. And Stacey as well... good, but I don't think she's anything majorly special. That lloyd fella though was absolutely ball w***. WHY THE NEED FOR A BACKFLIP. :manson: Idiot.

Absolutely agreed with these. Why all of a sudden she starts acting so weird? I understand that she received the great comment from Simon but this behaviour? Seriously, even I can't do this although I'm really emotional. There's such thing like dignity. I think she just made a fool out of herself. Only Stacey can do that. :kink:

Lloyd is likely to stay due to this backflip unfortunately. :(

Oh great! It looks like Leona will only get 1 week at the top now. :(

Maybe she had a few cups of Robbie's special coffee before she went on!

Either way ... her performance and appearance was much improved from previous weeks - so I think she should be forgiven for the slightly odd behaviour afterwards.

Norma

Methinks Rachel has been taking notes from Stacey. Really liked her in the beginning but her wittering is starting to grate now.

Olly – I think that Olly brings great vocals and a bit of a genuine personality which is more than can be said for a lot of the other finalists. Although not as good as last week he still put on a performance and fitted in with the big band theme perfectly. The question remains as to why he has been on first from Simon’s category three times now.

Lloyd – This performance was terrible, I really can’t say anything constructive other than he needs dancing lessons as he is completely wooden. The song choice was so predictable and the only reason I can remember this performance is that I was nearly sick when he done a back flip. You are no Aston mate. If there is any justice he will be in the bottom two this week.

Miss Frank – I really don’t think these girls get enough praise. The vocals are there and they look great together as a band. The rapping part was original and brought spice to the performance. Once again they deserve to stay.

.

Rachel – She looked like she was enjoying herself for once and this improved her performance. I did not exactly get excited by the performance as I find her so unlike able. That performance after the song was a joke.

Jamie – Louis was right this song is not big band and for that alone he deserves to be in the bottom two. This guy just bores me he is not exciting and will struggle to last.

Stacey – I really can’t stand this song and this affected my enjoyment. The vocals were good but she really should have sung ‘What A Wonderful World’.

Danyl – Oh please Simon why are you giving a standing ovation [just as I predicted], this version had nothing on Adam Lambert and Cheryl love this arrangement wasn’t original on his part he got the arrangement from Muse.

Joe – It was good to see a non ballad side to Joe but the dancing was really terrible. In order for this boy to be a star he needs to sort out those teeth they are horrific. I couldn’t help but think the whole way through that his vocals are always perfect. I think he will definitely make the final.

Lucie – I kind of agree with Simon here she is an actress as she is putting on a fake persona week in week out. The vocals are perfection but she is just so dam unlike able that I can’t warm to her. If you want a better version of this go search for Melinda Doolittle.

John and Edward – I guess we have to have this light entertainment on the show in order to gather attention but there has to come a point where they get voted out soon as they are just getting worse.

Bottom 2 candidates – Lloyd, Jamie, Rachel, John and Edward

A cover of You Are Not Alone? Hmm.. I don't mind the song, but if they're going to cover a MJ Ballad, at least pick a really decent one..

A cover of You Are Not Alone, and most of the contestants can't sing to save their own lives... nice. They could have picked just 1 act from each category to sing it, at least it be playable.

Why are people saying "pick a decent MJ ballad at least"? (Not just aiming at you Josh :heehee:)

If they did pick a different MJ song, everyone would be saying "OMFG! They can't be given the chance to murder that classic" blah blah blah. So just be grateful (sp? - is it greatful or grateful?) it wasn't one of "the good ones" :heehee:

I just think, that 'You Are Not Alone' is one of them songs, if covered, will sound incredibly cheesy and awful. But like you said, at least they're not covering one of his good ones.

I think Rachel was the big standout this week, she CANNOT be in the bottom two tonight!
I didn't think that Rachel was THAT good tbh, no better than she's been in previous weeks.

I think she'll be bottom two tonight and leave.
