Yes he is and he is paying the price for it at the moment :cheer: . Portugal played ok against France but on the whole I thought France were a better side. Scolari is a good manager but his tactics sometimes are dodgy as i'm positive that he encourages his players to dive, which is not accpetable <_<

He's hardly sporting though is he, encouraging his players to dive is absolutely ridiculous. He might have been successful over the past few years but I would EXPECT anyone to have success with Brazil and Portugal, it can't be THAT hard. In my humble opinion him turning down the England job is the best thing to happen to English football in YEARS. I would rather another decade of Sven than take him. If he's such a good manager he should get his players to actually play well, like Italy, France, Argentina etc. and not have to cheat their way past three rounds. Any old ****er can do that!

And for most of the tournament Portugal bloody well did play well, especially in the group stages, maybe if you weren't so blinkered by your English bias you'd perhaps see that... We've just seen the sad, shocking sight of Zinedine Zidane headbutting an Italian player and one or two French players going down like they've been shot at the slightest contact, does anyone hold the French manager responsible for that.....?

Portugal did not play well. They went over 400 minutes without scoring, that's not playing well. Certainly not for a team that's supposedly one of the four best in the world and they certainly weren't that convincing in the group stage either. 5 goals, 2 of which were penalties. Scolari might not have had to use diving for Brazil but Brazil in 02 were a damn site better that Portugal 06 are. I can say for sure I'd rather another 10 years of misery and failure than EVER playing the way Portugal have in their last 4 games.

 

And as for Zidane, what he did was disgraceful and cannot be excused but the difference is Zidane will actually be PUNISHED for what he did, as would anyone else who did that. But Ronaldo dives and cheats every single game and gets away scot-free. It really is not on...

 

And do you really think people are bitter because we went out to them? :lol: :lol: It's not just US that think Ronaldo's a cheat. He was boood every single time he touched the ball by the French and the Germans, I hardly think under normal circumstances they wouldn't boo someone who knocked England out would they. They were booing him because he's a diving, cheating prick. The same as the majority of their squad and their manager. He complains like hell when Ronaldo doesn't get a penalty for one of the most blatent dives ever yet says France's should never have been. It was slightly dubious but it was 100 times more of a foul than the Ronaldo incident. Ronaldo is hated worldwide, it's certainly not just England and it's certainly not sour grapes. I defended the team saying our time will come and we will play well but we didn't. And we deserved to go out. A team that played like us for 5 games should not be in the semi-finals, but neither should Portugal, I would rather have been knocked out by ANY other team, even some minnow like Trinidad than those cheating twáts!
