Posted October 28, 200915 yr Take That featured in the 'Access All Areas' section over pages 18 and 19 - an exclusive of their time at the Abbey Road Studios. Nice article. Norma There's also a review of Rob's new album - fairly 'meh' really - plus it gives Cheryl's new album a higher rating!!! Q are normally all over Rob like a rash! October 28, 200915 yr How many stars got Mr. Williams? Was the article about TT from up -to-down or was really nice? Something memorable in it? Kind of review or interview?
October 28, 200915 yr Author How many stars got Mr. Williams? Was the article about TT from up -to-down or was really nice? Something memorable in it? Kind of review or interview? It gave Rob three stars ... it does go on elsewhere though to say that it thinks Bodies is a superb song - and that it is probably the best on the album. It has to be added that Q gave The Circus three stars as well - but its comments were far more favourable. The Take That article is just a 'matter of fact' comment on their time in Abbey Road. I'll type up the whole thing later and post it (won't take me long - but I've got to let my little fella have fifteen minutes on 'Club Penguin' before he goes to bed ... he's been good today!) Norma
October 28, 200915 yr Author Here it is: From Q Magazine, December 2009 Access All Areas Exclusive! Take That at Abbey Road Britain's biggest band (it's official!) go back to basics at world famous studio. Still no sign of Robbie Williams, though ... "I sometimes feel that we hide behind elephants and puppets and bangs and crashes and fireworks," Gary Barlow tells Q. "I love it when we put ourselves under pressure, where we just sit there and sing." While the elephants, puppets, bangs and crashes contributed to the success of 2009's The Circus Live tour, the upcoming live DVD also showcases a very different Take That. Included alongside the full Circus show is the group's recent performance at Abbey Road's iconic Studio One. The quartet perform stripped-down versions of Patience, Shine and Greatest Day, bedrocks of 2008's The Circus album and its predecessor, 2006's Beautiful World. "I felt much more vulnerable doing this stuff," says Jason Orange. "Because you're much more exposed." Despite the presence of extra musicians and a string section, the group stayed faithful to the originals. "We didn't want to change the songs so they were unrecognisable," says Mark Owen. "It's more of a Sunday morning version of the songs. It's the morning after." Aside from the commercial success of Take That's ongoing reunion, Howard Donald claims it's better being in the group second time around: "Last time Gary was writing songs so fast that none of us thought about writing together. Going into the studio is easier now." Take That claim to have no concrete plans for 2010 and are refusing to confirm the story that they have been writing new material with former nemesis Robbie Williams. Robbie-less they continue to go from strength to strength. The Circus Live played to over 1.2 million people. The Abbey Road session, concludes Barlow, is Take That saying "Let's do it how we started off. Getting back to the point before 80,000 people see it." Norma *Could have done without the Robbie references (boring, boring, boring) but apart from that ... I liked it!

October 28, 200915 yr Author its nice to see reviews from q like this, i havnt bought q in ages for some reason and i used to be it regulary. I only bought it because The Arctic Monkeys were on the cover ... so it was a Brucie bonus to find a Take That article in there! It was also a bit of a sneaky fun to see ... in Robbie's album review the comment 'Probably a good time to give Gary Barlow a call'. Nice to see not all the reviewers are crawling up Rob's backside! :) Norma Edit ... in all ... I've been quite pleased with Q in the Take That return. They've been neither crawling nor scathing. I was most pleased that they nominated TT in the Q Awards (this would never have happened in the earlier days - probably because ... whilst not ground-breaking - as a foursome ... they are certainly more musically viable and just all-round more pleasant this time). Even NME have been fairly decent to TT that too 8/10 rating and all! So hats off to them too! Edited October 28, 200915 yr by Norma_Snockers
October 29, 200915 yr Here it is: From Q Magazine, December 2009 Access All Areas Exclusive! Take That at Abbey Road Britain's biggest band (it's official!) go back to basics at world famous studio. Nice one. this phrase i loiked the most  . I liked also they quoted something from all the members. I could have also done very well without Mr. Williams thing. But it is good that they got a nice review for the Abbey Road as this one is possible only for the big fans for interest.
