November 11, 200915 yr that the uk lead the world over the last milennia in the development of a fair and just legal system built on the back of christian morals?.. That's pretty much bull.... Much of the last Millennium was more about the legal system conforming to the whims of whatever monarch was in power..... This ridiculous notion of "all justice flowing through the King who was appointed by God", all very well if the King was a wise man, but pretty fukkin' useless if he was a mad tyrant.... The whole problem we have in this country is that there is not a properly defined, codified system of Law, it's all mostly down to case law and how Judges actually choose to interpret things... You might say that this is flexibility, well, I say that over the years it has led to some seriously bad laws and flawed judgements which have very little to do with what is actually "Just"....

November 12, 200915 yr I'm sorry, but while I support multiculturalism/ethnic diversity in that race/ethnicity/culture should not be a criterion for discrimination; I, nor anyone else was asked whether or not there should've been the massive largely unchecked immigration in the last twelve years.

The outcome of a criminal case can still be determined by which side has the better lawyers. Our system is too adversarial and we should look at reforms towards a more inquisitorial system. As for our libel laws, noone could seriously suggest that they are the best in the world.
