December 8, 200915 yr Littlest Things was one of the weakest tracks for sure. I don't see how Everything's Just Wonderful can in any way be seen as filler, it was one of my defining songs of summer 2006 - all of my friends loved it too so I know I wasn't alone

December 8, 200915 yr Death Cab - Plans, Battles, Pendulum - Hold Your Colour and Libertines are all good. A few in there I know but am not fussed on, like The Good, the Bad & The Queen.
December 8, 200915 yr Futureheads is very good, think it is my least fave of their albums though. That is what I love about The Futureheads, N&T is their worse album and is still an 8/10 album, I might just be a Futureheads loon though. Oh and Radio/Video on Mezesirize (or however the f*** you spell it) is amazing  But there is so much I love on this list i'll comment at a recap. But I will say, YOU ARE AMAZING FOR INCLUDING THE AMAZING ALBUM THAT IS WHERE THE HUMANS EAT.

December 11, 200915 yr Author Ok, I shall start my top 100 albums tonight. It's actually a top 101 though, I didn't delete enough from my original shortlist. -_- Some hints and stats coming soon.
December 11, 200915 yr Author Year Breakdown: 2000 - 3 2001 - 4 2002 - 7 2003 - 6 2004 - 8 2005 - 13 2006 - 8 2007 - 14 2008 - 20 2009 - 18 Not particularly surprising given that I've bought/downloaded more music every year for quite some time now... 3 acts have 3 albums, no one has more. Any guesses?
December 11, 200915 yr Author 101 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSTEREO.JPG Stereophonics 'Language. Sex. Violence. Other.' (2005) As a kid, Stereophonics were one of the very first bands I truly loved. Unfortunatley they never managed to be quite as good as their two 90s albums but they've not been too bad this decade, with this being their strongest. 100 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/BELLACD167.JPG Fleet Foxes 'Fleet Foxes' (2008) It took me a while to get past the large amounts of hype for Fleet Foxes. However a few listens of the album and I was converted. I do find it a bit overrated but it has some excellent tunes and they're a great throwback. 099 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/BRILCDX105.JPG The Knife 'Dee Cuts' (2003) Once I discovered The Knife I really liked what I heard and soon bought this. It has some excellent songs on it, none more so than the classic 'Heartbeats' but it could do with being a bit shorter, its length certainly stops it from being 20-30 places higher. 098 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5607752.JPG Idlewild 'Warnings/Promises' (2005) Idlewild are possibly my favourite band of the decade and are one of my favourite bands of all time. It says something when albums like this can be considered weak (and rightfully so, it's nowhere near their best) and still be so good. 097 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697413552.JPG Bruce Springsteen 'Working On A Dream' (2009) Like many 70s/80s artists, Bruce Springsteen was always someone I thought of as being ok but I wouldn't really choose to listen to. I'm still not sure why I downloaded this album but it's pretty excellent, especially the first few songs. 096 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/MODCD066.JPG Van She 'V' (2008) I didn't pay any attention to Van She until this year when they released single 'Cat & The Eye'. It made me want to check them out further and I'm glad I did, some really good stuff from the Australians. Bruce Springsteen 'Outlaw Pete' Live At Glastonbury 2009 RLHOplvbrgI
December 11, 200915 yr A great countdown so far, I look forward to watching this until it's completion.
December 11, 200915 yr Author 095 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDFRAPP.JPG Goldfrapp 'Supernature' (2005) Satin Chic I've always felt this album got far more criticism than it deserved. I've always thought it to be an extremely ood pop album, they took a different direction with it and on the vast majority of the album, it worked. 094 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/ARCTICMAREPRECD.JPG Arctic Monkeys 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' (2007) 505 As much as I tried to, I never quite managed to click with the songs off this as I did with many on their debut. Whilst some of this album is easily amongst their best work ('This House Is A Circus', 'Fluorescent Adolescent and '505' are in my top 10 Monkeys songs) it's just never really felt completely right. 093 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CAD2821CD.JPG TV On The Radio 'Dear Science' (2008) Halfway Home 'Return To Cookie Mountain' (their previous album) was one of the most underwhelming albums I've ever bought, so when this was getting plenty of rave reviews and 5* ratings I still wasn't massively fussed. But it's a much better effort and whilst some of the album is quite hard to get into, I feel it's worth it. 092 http://images.musicnet.com/albums/005/170/345/c.jpeg Nine Inch Nails 'With Teeth' (2005) When I first heard 'The Hand That Feeds' I became pretty obsessed with this song and I bought its parent album as soon as it came out. I'd never really heard anything beforehand so wasn't quite sure what to expect but I thought it was a cracking album with the longer slower paced songs being the best. Despite how much I like this I've never really felt compelled to get anything else by them as it's not really the type of music I listen to... 091 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5277832.JPG Coldplay 'Parachutes' (2000) Even though I'd only recently turned 11 when Coldplay came onto the scene, I got this album not long after it came out, mainly because of 'Shiver', a song I loved back then and is still easily my favourite of theirs. They're a band I feel are both vastly overrated and vastly underrated. The praise they get from some quaters you'd think they were the greatest act ever to have lived but the criticism they get from others you'd think they were the worst (they're far from being either). December 11, 200915 yr Goldfrapp - good from the singles I've heard. Should really check out album. Arctic Monkeys - very good. TV On The Radio - brilliant. Coldplay - very good. Good start :D Our resident NIN loon will no doubt be happy.
December 11, 200915 yr Author 090 http://images.musicnet.com/albums/005/088/347/c.jpeg Ash 'Free All Angels' (2001) Ash were another band I liked when I was younger. It's the only album of theirs I actually own, which might be a bit surprising, but songs I've heard from albums before and since haven't been as good. 'Walking Barefoot' is my favourite Ash song by a distance. Should definitely have been a single. 089 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/WEBB184CD.JPG Those Dancing Days 'In Our Space Hero Suits' (2008) It took me a while to appreciate Those Dancing Days, 'Hitten' was the song that everyone raved about but I never really got the fuss, until I bought the album anyway. It seemed to click then, along with the rest of it. Fantastic Swedish indie-pop. 088 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/BBQCD252.JPG The National 'Boxer' (2005) It wasn't until last year I heard of The National through the brilliant 'Mistaken For Strangers' but I soon bought its parent album. It was far from instant but well worth the wait. Dark and moody, great vocals. 087 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/BLPRERELCD.JPG Bloc Party 'Intimacy' (2008) Something of a return to form I thought. It took me a while to buy it because I was never massively impressed with 'A Weekend In The City' and I didn't think much of the two singles (especially 'Talons', I still don't see the fuss, it's crap!) but the rest of the album is excellent. It's very varied and they keep progressing their sound. 086 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/6930202.JPG Bat For Lashes 'Two Suns' (2009) Pearl's Dream Whilst her debut album 'Fur & Gold' was raved about to a greater extent, I find this, her second album, to be a much more consistant effort. I still can't get enough of 'Daniel', even though I put it #20 on my singles list it's the one song I regret not putting a bit higher. Ash 'Walking Barefoot' 4JxQXmf1o7g

December 11, 200915 yr Those Dancing Days was good. I raved about Hitten, and thought the album was disappointing. Intimacy is very very good. Agree about a return to form.

December 11, 200915 yr agree about Bat For Lashes - I much prefer it to her debut personally which I found much harder to get into I always meant to check out Those Dancing Days but never did...

Nine Inch Nails 'Right Where It Belongs' dqw85396z_0 This gets its own reply. When I first heard 'The Hand That Feeds' I got pretty obsessed too, I think it was the first NIN song I heard, I think it led somewhere with my music taste? 'Right Where It Belongs' is a great choice from the album, my fav track off it possibly, so beautiful, on par with 'Hurt' Anyway I wont go too far into my love for this album, we'll see where it comes on my countdown ;) As for not hearing other material, have you ever tried, or are you just saying you havent felt compelled too? If you havent, you should check out 'The Downward Spiral' or 'Pretty Hate Machine' I perfer PHM but TDS is an amazing piece of music, I really think you would enjoy it despite it not being your type of music, as for being a fan of the slower songs, you should check out some of these tracks, 'Hurt', 'In This Twilight', 'Something I Can Never Have' 'The Fragile', 'Lights In The Sky', if you love 'Right Where It Belongs' you'll love those.
