How f***ing awesome ar Reuben seriously? Been one of my favourite bands for a fairly long time now, shame they split up all the best bands do :(

 

They have two amazing albums in 'Racecar Is Racecar Backwards' and 'In Nothing We Trust' and one album that isn't as good ('Very Fast Very Dangerous').

They are basically the brainchild of Jamie Lenman (far right) who writes all of the songs. He has also directed some music videos, notably for Frank Turner. The other two members are Jon Pearce (bass, far left) and Guy Davis (Drums, centre). They have a hilarious youtube documentary type thing about the making of their third album, here is day one:

Obviously I like good music, so I like Reuben, I think one or two of them went to my college once upon a time aswell.

Back to Reuben, I never got to see them before they split up. I was going to but decided not to because I had been to 2 gigs on the 2 previous nights (Rx Bandits and The Fall of Troy), which wouldn't be a problem now but when I was in Year 11/12 or something it was a bit much because it was during exams. I so wish I had gone though now.

this forum was at lot less active before i was mod aswell, it was depressing. its definatly a lot more active than it used to be, sometimes when i put some effort in, it gets reasonbly popular, in the end its only a small group of posters who tend to post in here, where as other forums people jump between them.

 

Anyway yes Reuben, great band, gotta love post-hardcore.

yes, since i heard scared of the police, but not heard any recent stuff ..... never actually seen any of the albums in the shops, but i'll take a look next time i'm in them

 

think the latest one i heard was FREDDY KRUGER (the one ahere they wear those daft fake moustaches in the video), but that was years ago
