November 12, 200915 yr Author 10| Rage Against The Machine - Renegades http://i27.tinypic.com/2119myw.jpg Favourite Tracks :: I'm Housin', How I Could Just Kill A Man, Pistol Grip Pump, Renegades of Funk, Maggie's Farm, The Ghost of Tom Joad One of my all-time favourite artists now with their last album. Released after Zack De La Rocha had left the band but still using his vocals, it is a covers album. That puts it lightly, it is the single greatest collection of covers ever, if you didn't know the original songs you wouldn't know they were covers because Rage make every song their own. Their unique style shines through in the record producing some truly astonishing moments, it may not be their best album but that just shows the quality of the band. Absolutely fecking awesome. Live=as good, maybe better with these guys so here is " I'm housin' " live. MIeQi5LH54g Edited November 12, 200915 yr by Ashford.
November 12, 200915 yr Author 09| Frank Turner - Love Ire & Song http://174.143.242.237/interpunk_new_music/interpunk_newimages/168381.jpg Favourite Tracks :: Long Live The Queen, I Knew Prufrock Before He Got Famous, Photosynthesis, Reasons Not To Be An Idiot, To Take You Home, Better Half Frank Turner now with an album that I have really clicked with ever since first hearing it. The amazing thing about this record is it's unfaltering consistency throughout every single track, it has it's sad moments, it's euphoric moments and that all adds up to a near perfect listen. 'Long Live The Queen' is perhaps the best track due to it's personal nature and sadness although it is an album of many highlights, but it is 'Long Live The Queen' that I'll show you. November 12, 200915 yr Author 08| The Mars Volta - De-Loused In The Comatorium http://img.listal.com/image/products/200/B00009V90E/music/-deloused-comatorium-mars-volta.jpg Favourite Tracks :: Inertiatic ESP, Roulette Dares ( The Haunt Of), Son et Lumiere, Drunkship Of Lanterns, Eriatarka Experimental madness from The Mars Volta now, although this album is their best because it had the perfect balance of craziness and amazing tunes. They have tended to go to far with their albums that aren't in this list and it hasn't quite paid off. Back to this alum though, it is truly amazing, there is so much going on and something about Cedric's vocals is just brilliant. An album that helped me to broaden my musical horizons. I leave you with 'Inertiatic ESP' which is their best song, awesome. 8cdSiAgz1XU Edited November 12, 200915 yr by Ashford.
November 12, 200915 yr Author 07| Brand New - The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me http://www.interpunk.com/itemimages2/136691.jpg Favourite Tracks :: Not The Sun, The Archers Bows Have Broken, Sowing Season, Jesus, You Won't Know, Millstone Brand New now with their third album and an album that I listened to constantly for a long period in 2006-2007. It is their best album to date and their most critically successful, they really took the progression they made to get to Deja Entendu and took it to a whole new level. It is the albums more fast paced songs that are it's real treasures but the slow songs that make up a good portion of the album show Jesse's best lyrical work and contribute to an interesting and amazing listen. A proper anthem now, 'Not The Sun' U2XVlmtLcBo Edited November 12, 200915 yr by Ashford.
November 12, 200915 yr Author 06| Radiohead - Kid A http://www.bde.enseeiht.fr/clubs/cdthek-18mai/pochettes/e30215t02cv.jpg Favourite Tracks :: Everything In It's Right Place, Idioteque, Morning Bell, The National Anthem, Kid A, Motion Picture Soundtrack Expected it higher? So did I, but unfortunately I think that 5 albums are better. It doesn't feel good placing it 6th but I guess that shows the quality of the albums above it in my opinion. A truly astonishing record and Radiohead's best it changed the direction of the band and showed their true potential. I think we all know our lists are subject to change and perhaps in a few months I will be in a Radiohead phase and think myself a fool, but I emphasise again the sheer brilliance of this record and of the whole top 5, there is really nothing separating them. My fave from the album below. VrpGhEVyrk0 Edited November 12, 200915 yr by Ashford.
November 12, 200915 yr Author Top 5 either later, or tomorrow. Updated first post with full list up to now then.
