The song 'Crying' is all about the high notes (listen to Roy Orbison) if you can't hit 'em ... don't do it. Jamie was sh/te, boring, unoriginal - Louis is spot on as far as this guy is concerned.

Jamie: If Llyod's performance threatened to put me to sleep then this threatened to send me into a coma, I've never been so bored in my life. That said he is alot more vocally talented than Llyod so I'll give him a higher score. 4.5/10

and Louis hasn't got a clue, just because he's never heard of it doesn't make it not a movie!

Eugh. Can the vile Louis Walsh get more annoying? Who gives a fukk if he has heard of the film? He is such a horrible little man :puke:
God Louis does talk some bull$h!t about these strict rules regarding the theme, who actually gives a $h!t?!

Jamie - Crying 6.5

I adore that Roy Orbison song (also covered by Don McLean & k.d.lang). A very emotional performance, but at the expense of some of his usually reliable vocals. Like Stacey covering a song by one of the greatest singers of all time will also count against him.

You miss the point ... the song is a brilliant song ... sung by the right person. Even Don McLean did a fabulous version of this - Jamie just isn't as good as he (or Simon) thinks he is.

Haha at Lloyd attempting to recreate what JLS done last year with that song and failing miserably.

Jamie was terrible too. Carrie Underwood sang an amazing version of that on American Idol go check it out just to see how bad Jamie's version was.

Jamie: Very emotional and suprsingly good. Definatly his best performance to date. 7.5/10
I think you lot are missing the point that Louie Walshes main purpose on this show is to annoy Simon in any way he can.
Olly - Twist & Shout 8.0

Second week running covering a song associated with The Beatles. Surprised no judge picked up on that. A great performace, even if it was at the sacrifice of Olly's inferior Will Young-esque vocals. .... And the choreography was ridiculous IMHO.

Olly reminds me more of Aaron Bailey from Pop Idol 1 than Will Young. Quite entertaining but not a recording artist.

I swear they must actually be paying Louis more to keep going on about the rules, the rules seem to be turning into a constant topic between the judges.

I've an idea......how about instead of talking about the rules and having petty little fights with each the judges actually discussed the singers themselves? :magic:

I didnt miss the point. Louis is harping on about the rules being broken because the track is out of the film he has not heard of. It is out of a film, that is the point, regardless whether or not this vile individial has seen it or not. He is without a doubt the most irriating person on TV. I love the song and thought Jamie did an ok job. It wasnt bad. Louis just said Jamie was great though. Shame he spends more of his time having little fits about rules etc. -_-

I thought Jamie was awful, and I actually like him. Not as bad as LLoyd, but still pretty damn bad.

This could be sink or swim for Lucie, I never heard this track in my life, so I have to judge the track on tonight's performance.
I think Dannii has found the exact type of music for Lucie, she is so much better at this type of music than dreary ballads.

I actually think Louis has a point ... he may be seen as nit picking ... but why the hell have 'theme' weeks to begin with. I mean the category 'movies' is pathetic ... one could say that 90% of ANY song is related to a film. Simon does bend the rules to suit himself ... granted not on this occasion as I'd actually heard of the film anyway ... but he does most of the time.
