But today they were advertising for an intern for their offices on twitter :o Maybe the guy they chose let them down... Too bad I can't reapply, I have a nice new (paid! hurrah!) job that I've commited to for 6 months...

Have you heard anything yet Tom? What did you send to them? I don't know whether they're expecting mp3, videos etc or just an "I'm interested" email.

 

I won't be having a shot myself, but two people I'm very close to are intending to apply.

 

One is my sister Emily, who probably would have rather entered when Andrew Lloyd-Webber was behind it but she was too young. She's only 17, and here she is singing "I Know Where I've Been" which I think is from Hairspray. She sings in the first half of the video, followed by another guy singing what is probably Bjorn and Benny's finest non-Abba composition :)

 

 

Another is my other half, Grant, who is a budding singer and now thanks to me a superfan of Eurovision :P He's 20 and here he is singing last year's German entry "Miss Kiss Kiss Bang" as well as "Break Your Heart" by Taio Cruz.

 

 

Let me know what you think and whether you think they stand a chance. It would make my life to see one of them up there! And I'd not turn my nose up at a trip to Oslo either :lol:

my honest opinions;

 

your sister is absolutely FANTASTIC, stunning voice, she'd surely have a major chance :o

 

your boyfriend is pretty good too, except on the falsetto bit (I only watched Break Your Heart) which isn't as strong but he is very good in low register, better than me anyway :lol:

 

I'm not actually bad at singing in a low register and can do an excellent Take That, especially Back For Good/Rule The World, but give me something that requires falsetto (Darren Hayes - Insatiable/Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One spring to mind) and I just can't do it...I figure you need to be an all rounder for something like this, hence why I never bother entering

 

I wouldn't mind being a backing vocalist but I'm not pretty enough for that :heehee:

I was only half serious about going for it, I just sent an "i'm interested" email, there's nothing about sending a show reel or anything :lol: Your sister in particular has an amazing voice Peter. Oh I remember Grant from last year's contest, I think it was posted then?! I remember liking him. I'm watching Gossip Girl right now, so will listen to your sister later!
