November 15, 200915 yr the Queensberry song is a huge grower too, by FAR their best single so far
November 15, 200915 yr Author I quite like the new OneRepublic song too, but it won't be released (at least yet) anywhere apart from Germany and Austria. It is a soundtrack to a German film.
November 15, 200915 yr Yan's German chart comments - Issue Date 13.11 So Robbie Williams has to retreat from the number one spot in Germany after three weeks staying there. Thus, Ich + Ich, one of the best German bands in the last decade, finally has its much deserved number one with "Pflaster" (or plaster). The single is the pilot song from the duo's newest album "Gute Reise", which comes after the hugely successful "Vom selben Stern". The latter produced three extremely massive singles "Vom selben Stern"; "Stark" and "So soll es bleiben", which stayed for months in the top ten but never managed to reach the top spot. So check out "Pflaster" - one of the best songs in German this autumn. From one great new entry to another at #3 where OneRepublic's newest single "Secrets" comes in. Clearly among their best singles, "Secrets" features in the soundtrack of Til Schweiger's new film "Zweiohrkueken". Thus, it is for now released only in the German speaking region, which deprives the other parts of the world from a significantly beautiful track for the winter days... It's OneRepublic's second biggest track in Germany next to the number one "Apologize". Next up, at #15 we can find the latest single of Jeanette Biedermann, one of the most successful German female artists in the last ten years. "Solitary Rose" is the third single taken from Jeanette's "Undress to the Beat" album, which manages to perform quite better than the second one, which reached only #43. However, if you ask me, Jeanette has had much better songs than this... Teen star Justin Bieber has a second single in the German charts with "One Less Lonely Girl" at #22. Several months ago he debuted in the countdown with "One Time", which peaked at #14. Still he has to do more to attract other admirers apart from the teen girls. The next new entry belongs to Belgian star Kate Ryan at #28. Once again "Babacar" is a cover of a French top song from the 80s, performed then by France Gall. The original peaked at #14 in 1987. Though Kate Ryan is a specialist in covers, I think that "Babacar" deserves to be outside the top 20 as it is not among her most inspired ones. You should also not neglect the latest single of Cassandra Steen's "Glaub Ihnen Kein Wort" (or don't believe him a word), which deserved to be in the top ten but instead enters at #49. I guess that is due to the fact that her album has been released since the start of the year and it is the third single taken from it. Still the song is really really great! And finally for the albums chart - Bon Jovi's latest album "The Circle" becomes the band's fifth studio album to reach the top spot. Thus it ends the reign of Rammstein in the LP chart.

November 15, 200915 yr YanBG, you can comment on next weeks chart in 2 weeks time ;) Anyway, really pleased for One Republic, I like their stuff. Decent entry for Kate Ryan but the song is unimpressive and definitely doesnt deserve to beat Mon Coeur.

November 17, 200915 yr What about the Sugababes in this chart? I thought they released GS there... And besides their album is out on 4th December in Germany. Or the time for them is still to come?

November 18, 200915 yr OMG at Marit Larsen, never though that she would sell so well. She was part of M2M, anyone knows if the other half of M2M, Marion Raven, charted in 2007 with Falling Away (single) or Set Me Free (album)?
November 18, 200915 yr Author OMG at Marit Larsen, never though that she would sell so well. She was part of M2M, anyone knows if the other half of M2M, Marion Raven, charted in 2007 with Falling Away (single) or Set Me Free (album)? Marion Raven only charted once in Germany (in 2006), together with Meat Loaf with the song It's All Coming Back To Me Now. The song peaked at number 7. Neither Falling Away nor her album could make it into the top 100 singles or albums chart in Germany.
