Posted November 15, 200915 yr Can you think of songs by well known artists that are totally at odds with their usual musical output? I always thought Slade’s Everyday was totally different from their other songs like Mama we’re all crazee now, as the verses are ballad like. Others I can think of, from the top of my head: The Bee Gees- 'New York Mining Disaster 1941’- as far away from Saturday night Fever as you can get The Stranglers - Strange Little Girl - so far away from Peaches & No more heroes
November 15, 200915 yr I would have said Slade but with this orchestral Beatlesque song: OQS-3RXo24M Slade - How Does It Feel (1975) Also off the top of my head Squeeze - Labelled With Love; Human League - The Lebanon; Duran Duran - Skin Trade; Madness - One Better Day and ..... this unlikely comedic single BJ83-45VpUM The Who - Dogs (1968)

It was actually the SNF stuff that turned them from a ballad driven sound to the upbeat, disco stuff they were to put out in the 70's. Norma
