December 4, 200915 yr I agree...only really about 4 or 5 songs I loved in 2002, and the production in Estonia was so cheap as well, really awful, what the hell was that animated anteater thing that kept popping up all over the scoreboard  however, 2002 did feature the glorious trio of 7th Wonder/Come Back/Runaway in the top 4 which should have all been bumped up a place each on the scoreboard with Marie N diving into obscurity...
December 4, 200915 yr Author The worst thing with 2002 is that Norway didn't qualify for it because we ended last in 2001 -_-
December 4, 200915 yr oh yeah :( I expected Haldor to do quite well too that year, even if it reminded me of Celine Dion's All By Myself! but everyone was voting for the odd couple from Estonia (including me :kink:) and one of the only handful of decent songs from 2002 - from Denmark - finished last whilst another of my favourites, the blind German woman, came very near to last despite being the favourite to win, and having a far better song than a lot of the other countries Greece, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belgium, Turkey, Romania and Slovenia in particular sent horrific entries (and Latvia :drama:)
December 4, 200915 yr I became massively interested in it in 2001 because I watched the contest and found the songs really amazing so bought the compilation CD so I had high hopes for 2002 and was a bit disappointed to say the least my favourite years of this decade have been 2001, 2006, 2008 and 2009

December 4, 200915 yr I was surprised at how well Jostein did, it wasn't anywhere near being one of the favourites! it was easily the classiest song there though, Norway always bring the class to the competition - apart from in 2005 :heehee: seeing as I hated the top 3 that year, Norway should have won by default with Sweden in second and Iceland bumped up a few places to third :kink: something else you may find interesting Jerick, I actually wrote myself sheet music for 'I'm Not Afraid To Move On' when I used to take keyboard lessons in 2003!!! it was a brilliant song to play on the piano because it was quite simple, but very effective

December 4, 200915 yr Author I've got votes from everyone I expect votes from.. Oh wait, were Tyron going to vote?
December 5, 200915 yr My absolute fave is 2007. STUNNING contest. 2006 isn't far from it though too. 2003 ROCKS among the first half of the decade. The whole Top 5 is fantastic! <3 I actually didn't have time to watch ESC2001 properly hence the least fave of mine :( Oh and i can't find 2002 torrent so the same for me  I feel being an average fan as i only started diving into Eurovision in 2003 and even missing the semi finals in 2006 or 2007! :( Only from 2006 (minus that fact about semis) I got crazy over it. Ahh :drama: 2010 is the peak of my activity. I am excited about Oslo 5 1/2 months before the contest.

December 5, 200915 yr Author Agree with you Rich, I haven't listen to any songs from any NF's :) Oh, I have listen to two, someone posted in the MF thread :P but they both were bad anyway ;)
December 5, 200915 yr I'm trying to avoid listening to any NF entries until at least January, we don't need my obsession growing any bigger :heehee: Not even Euroviisut? :kink: :( There are some GORGEOUS songs out there. One might make a Top 2 debut in my chart tomorrow. :o :o
December 6, 200915 yr Author Oh really? :o Finland winning with a "normal" song would be amazing  Really if that means ESC 2011 will be as good as 2007  Well.. I have thought about countries I would like to win; Iceland and Germany would be amazing if one of those won :kink: I hope it is a while until a east European country wins again, just the thought of having the final close to me is comforting :kink:
