Cornholio - A great idea - Maybe you could get people to suggest the next nomination choice?

This ain't such a bad idea ;) There aren't many songs to choose from (because the UK chart provides some titles), but I guess you are right.

In the next editions I'll provide this (now we're at the beginning). B) I'm happy to see how many persons are voting, and I'm really curious to see the first general top 20 :P

Cheers for the idea ^_^ xox.

Very poor choices though, I don't really care for any of them, and All-American Rejects aint any better.

Sorry about it mate... This is what UK Chart provides at the moment :hithead:

(PS Remember to keep it alternative!!! dont want any Jovi slipping in there  )

Actually Bon Jovi is on the list, view that is the Rock genre he covers :o Maybe I'll introduce the poll so that people can decide (hoping that there will be some good available sonng inside UK Chart ^_^ ). xox.,

Many of the members here don't consider Bon Jovi Rock. There has been numerous posts on the issue, and basically Bon Jovi ends up between Pop and nowhere.

Time to know the results of this first edition of the Top 5 Most Wanted :D Indeed, as a new rule, I decided that the votation ends each 4 days since it's started :o So, here are the results after the 4 days of voting, with a massive 23 voters that submitted a top 5, and some big surprisingly results...

And here is the final top 5 in a special presentation "à la Cornholio" :cheer: , where you can listen on-line also to a minute of each song

'Valerie' is the second single to be lifted from The Zutons' 'Tired Of Hanging Around' album, following 'Why Won't You Give Me Your Love', which became the bands biggest sales and airplay hit to date. Hoping to emulate the success of its predecessor, 'Valerie' is a dynamic slice of 60's flavoured indie-pop that has already proved to be a favourite on radio stations across the country.

'In The Morning' marks the return of the biggest ego in indie-rock, Johnny Borrell, and his Razorlight cohorts. Having bowed out of the spotlight following traumatic and punishing touring schedules and near burn-out, only to emerge briefly for last year's stand alone single 'Somewhere Else', these skinny-trouser lovers are back with the frankly astounding beauty of 'In The Morning', a shimmering and anthemic tune that they previewed at the 2006 NME Awards.

Having crashed into the Top 40 with their recent second single, 'Raoul', The Automatic release new single 'Monster', the band's live signature tune, and another example of their raucous disco-punk, featuring a chorus that's destined to be sung from playgrounds to football terraces. 'Monster' is taken from The Automatic's hotly anticipated debut album 'Not Accepted Anywhere', which was prduced by Steve Harris (U2, Kaiser Chiefs) and Richard Jackson (Super Furry Animals, The Boyfriends) in Liverpool, Cardiff and Lincoln.

Muse are back with the astonishing disco funk of new single 'Supermassive Black Hole', taken from their eagerly anticipated new album 'Black Holes And Revelations', which is due out in July. And what a mighty return it is, with 'Supermassive Black Hole' combining elements of sleazy glamrock-dance (last championed by Goldfrapp) with a crunching guitar hook similar to Britney Spears' 'Do Somethin' (yes, really!), all welded on to infectious grooveride of creepy vocal harmonies and dancefloor beats that could finally deliver the band the crossover hit they hinted on with their last album 'Absolution'.

The Kooks, who are currently riding high in the album chart, release new single 'She Moves In Her Own Way', the follow-up to their recent huge hit 'Naïve', which reached no.5 in the charts, and spent over a month of residence in the UK Top Ten.

Even if Zutons and Razorlight had the same ammount of points, it's time for the Zutons to abbandon the competition for the number 2 edition of the Top 5 MW. Indeed, Razorlight was voted six times at the number 1 spot, and Zutons only 2 times :P Wooo for Kooks that get a decent number 1 :)

Stay tuned people, because tonight you'll vote for the second edition  Until then, check out the results for the other genres, and also you can see the General top 20, to see how the songs got inside the top 20 by the points level B) xox.
