As is the Nonsuch way, I wont be using the USA#4, OZ#5 hit Don't Stop Believin', but I'm considering one of the following entries from the Glee, The Music soundtrack TV albums that wont be released in the UK until 2010, which is where I want your advice which I may or may not agree with..... So in alphabetical order please cast your ears over the following and let me know your thoughts, etc.... llopzZqeLY8 Alone aiPGoIZ0q0Q Bust A Move -l_SMGhljVg Bust Your Windows ZKBsqBVgwdQ Hate On Me AEaP-HrnP04 Somebody To Love
November 23, 200915 yr Of those, easily Hate on Me. But I personally prefer Don't Stop Believin', It's My Life / Confessions, Hair / Crazy in Love, and Halo / Walking on Sunshine.
November 23, 200915 yr I'm not sure that any of these will do particularly well as you don't really 'get' Glee until you watch it...listening to one of the songs out of context is like listening to the Peter Kay Children In Need single without having seen the video in my opinion... I absolutely agree that this show is set to become a cultural phenomenon next year, and if you sent one of these songs in two months time, it would probably do very well, but seeing as I doubt many of the 50 or so participants here have seen the show yet, it might seem like you're choosing between a bunch of karaoke cover versions, which isn't the case at all after you've watched the programme, which is extremely original... Alone is my personal favourite of the five but I haven't seen the episode it features in yet (only watched the pilot so far) so it doesn't mean a lot to me at the moment, it's hard to judge them musically alone for some reason...are there clips on youtube of them performing the songs instead of just the song and a picture?
November 23, 200915 yr Send Don't Stop Believin'. It's not cheap. And will do the best from any song from Glee.

As someone who is waiting for Glee to come to E4 next year, I agree. These songs don't mean much to me at the moment, but I'm sure they will soon. I've voted for "Bust Your Windows", simply because it's the song of those I like the most. But I'd be more likely to vote for it if were the original as I think Jazmine sounds better. I've always been tempted to send a Jazmine Sullivan song as she's got so much better than "Dream Big", but I think that was her most BJSC friendly song and it flopped.
November 23, 200915 yr I much prefer Bust Your Windows to Dream Big (wasn't overly fond of the Daft Punk sample as I adore the original), although I wasn't a big fan of Jazmine's album on the whole :(
November 23, 200915 yr The only song I know is Don't Stop Believin' this would be a safe bet, the others I'm clueless I'm not brushed up on Glee yet.
November 23, 200915 yr Trust me, Don't Stop Believin' would NOT be cheap. If I had to choose though, it would either be Alone or Bust Your Windows...probably Alone? But DSB is the only one there that has a real WOW factor that can transcend the show.
November 24, 200915 yr I much prefer Bust Your Windows to Dream Big (wasn't overly fond of the Daft Punk sample as I adore the original), although I wasn't a big fan of Jazmine's album on the whole :( Me too, I may have played "Dream Big" more than a lot of the album but I'd go as far as to say it's my least favourite track now. I think you should have stuck with the album. It took a while, but I think I love every track on there now. I really wanted to send "Call Me Guilty" at one point.

I hope so. Because from listening to a couple of these alone I do not see what the fuss is. Dreadful.
November 26, 200915 yr Author Trust me, Don't Stop Believin' would NOT be cheap. DSB is the only one there that has a real WOW factor that can transcend the show. I think Siimon Cowell has just made it cheaper than cheap. It looks like Glee will be dead in the water for Nonsuch BJSC XXII.
November 26, 200915 yr Simon Cowell has made me want to put a large sum of money on Journey being xmas #2 though :o edit: William Hill were ahead of me :( odds are already as short as 5/1 and the second favourite

The final results are the same night as the X Factor final :P Hence it won't be at all cheap for this contest.
