7th Spice Girls - Viva Forever 178 Pts (16 votes - 1 1st & 1 2nd place)

Making the Record Of The Decade Final are: :cheer: :cheer:

3rd place Green Day - Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) 213 Pts (15 votes - 3 2nd places & 3 3rd places)

This song only made #11 in January 1998 but has since become more of a classic than 99% of records that made the UK Top10 in 1998.

2nd place Cardigans - My Favourite Game 215 Pts (16 votes - 1 1st, 2 2nds & 2 3rd places)

This song only made #14 in October 1998 but is now rightly regarded as a classic thanks to the video featuring Nina Persson driving down the middle of the road at high speed.

1st Place: Madonna - Frozen 241 Pts (19 votes - 1 2nd place & 2 3rd places)

This song returned Madonna to Number 1 after an 8 year gap giving her, her 8th #1 in the UK and was the lead single from Madonna's most critically acclaimed album - Ray Of Light.

I will post 1999s 50 Record of the Year tracks to vote for tomorrow (early afternoon).

Thisispop

Was 'Angels' the song you thought would win? I'm so glad it didn't though; I have always disliked it.

I thought some of that year's million-sellers would have done better. Good on Cher.

Yes I honestly thought that Robbie's Angels would walk it.

Before the voting starts I try & work out what the Top3 voted songs will be.

In 1997 I got it spot on, while in 1996 - the Spice Girls 2Become1 just missed out on me correctly predicting the Top3 but this year I thought the Top3 would be:

1. Robbie's Angels

2. Cher

3. Aerosmith

But the voting has been very tight & the Cardigans & Green Day's performance justified their selection.

Thisispop, any chance of an update of whose been included in the final?

EXCELLENT top 3!

In terms of chart longevity, My Favourite Game is actually The Cardigans biggest hit:

The Cardigans- My Favourite Game {14}-19-15-29-26-27-26-33-39-42-53-56-53-57-47-57-66-74->18 weeks
