They should release a double a sided single, an original xmas song and a cover version of a non xmas song, that way we can have a proper xmas no.1 for a change.

Sorry to repeat myself from elsewhere on the site but:

A brilliant move on Simon Cowell's behalf, in one foul swoop badly sabatoging a TV programme and spin off album(s) that is huge in the USA and elsewhere and is imported to the UK with its pilot shown in December, then shown properly on Channel 4 from January.

Glee - Don't Stop Believin' (2009 USA#4 OZ#5)

So when Glee comes out the brain dead morons who will have already rushed to buy the X-Factor winning single who worship Simon Cowell and believe every word that is written in a Rupert Murdoch newspaper will think that the X-Factor single came first.

A bit like last year's winning song by Alexandra Burke being a cover of the then USA huge hit single "Just Dance".

Just when I can't think Simon Cowell can't get any lower, he goes and does.

Oh right, give the man a break. He does BUSINESS, he doesn't kill people, and he's not supposed to be the next Jesus Christ.

No be he is certainly to quote Morrissey "the musical Satan".

xmas top 3 will quite clearly be;

1) Joe McElderry - Don't Stop Believin' (NEW)

2) Journey - Don't Stop Believin' (Re-entry)

3) Lady GaGa - Bad Romance (1) - I can dream it gets there after her X Factor performance can't I :snif:

And yet you believe this article which comes from The Sun?

Although I clearly want Joe to win :) I was kind of hoping for something like This Is My Now by Jordin Sparks or that song Agnes had as her coronation song.

Oh sorry silly me.

The Sun's exclusives regarding Hallelujah as the 2008 X-Factor winning song; and the Sun exclusive about When You Believe being the 2007 X-Factor winning song; and the Sun exclusive about A Moment Like This all turned out to be false didn't they.

Simon Cowell is tied in with Rupert Murdoch Inc (especially as his PR is Rupert Murdoch who has fed the Sun newspaper rather a lot of stories over the years), hence he has given the Sun rather a lot of exclusives over the years to test the water for feedback so he can do a last minute switch or not if he chooses.

Hence, unlike most things in that right-wing propaganda rag that hates Scousers, I would be strongly inclined to believe this to be legitimate.

Well now that enough time has elapsed ... I think the perfect song for the winner of the X-Factor is a cover of Geraldine's 'The Winner's Song'. The runner up can do an uptempo version on the 'B' side like Two-Up-Two-Down did!

i would  if that actually happened.

I actually think The Saturdays - Here Standing would be a good winners song.

rumours..rumours..rumours..

I heard it was 'Wonderful World' which stacey sang when she first auditioned, dont jump the gun, wait till its confirmed.

Dont Stop believing isnt an x factor winners song ..

With those songs I'd prefer Stacey to win ...

To TIP - I'm a massive Glee fan, and have just caught up with the 11th episode today (how much do you know like Quinn after today by the way? Did not see that coming) - but I really think Simon Cowell choosing this song can only help Glee out, rather than hinder it, I really do because people will be m,ore familiar with the song, rather than think they've copied Joe McElderry (didnt even realise i'd written that, look how much I assume he'll win lol), it might hinder sales of DSB itself, but not affect the show, nor any albums which may, or may not follow.

You have good taste when it comes to TV Shows.

I didn't say it was false

All I said was that you chose to believe an article from The Sun after decrying those who "believe every word that is written in a Rupert Murdoch newspaper " are "brain dead morons"

Why are these suggestions/rumours all songs that have been "big in America" all the time? Simon Cowell is obsessed with the place! <_<
