April 1, 201015 yr horrible record. wears its influences on its sleeve in the most obvious of manners.
April 9, 201015 yr I prefer Oracular Spectacular at the moment. Congratulations sounds pretty limp, not a single track on there that makes me want to replay it/listen to again.
April 9, 201015 yr MGMT is great. but Oracular Spectacular was miles better than this. Some pretty OK songs on it but overall it doesn't have the power and there aren't any super-memorable tracks. The fact they aren't releasing any singles won't help them much i don't think
April 9, 201015 yr With them not offically releasuing any singles and a new sound its hard to know how this album will do for them.
April 10, 201015 yr It seems that they try hard to avoid the mainstream success. Whether it's because they are afraid or try to stay cool (which is a bit stupid), I don't know. But I have lost a bit of interest. People say Brian Eno is a decent track though.
April 10, 201015 yr Ya they do seem to fear crossing fully into mainstream, but the first album was mainstream and the reviews and reception to the album were good, and the sales were pretty decent aswell.
April 11, 201015 yr This albums really grown on me, Song for Dan Treacy and It's Working are much better than Brian Eno!
April 16, 201015 yr I havnt bought the album yet, im waiting til i manage to hear a few songs before i purchase, as he album has got such mixed reviews its hard to gage and overall reception to the album.
April 17, 201015 yr Well that wont make me buy it lol!!! #5 debut for the album in Ireland this week and their first album had the same peak here aswell.
