She also confirmed herself today on a radio interview that she doesnt know what to release next and neither do the label cos theres so many choices!
I.e. she desperately doesn't want to be a one hit wonder and knows if she fucks up the next single choice and it bombs she probably won't recover.
Tbh i think her and the label should just use the current success of Blah Blah Blah (#2 on US iTunes behind TiK ToK) and make it the next single...
The choice it pretty obvious
Me too! :D Fingers crossed they don't change it again!

YOUR FIRST 2010 WEAKEND CHART PREVIEW: While anything can happen over the weekend, it now appears that Ke$ha will be the one to unseat Susan Boyle from the top of the chart. Here's how the Top 10 looks headed into the weekend:

Ke$ha (RCA/RMG debut) 120-125k

Susan Boyle (Columbia) 100-105k

Alicia Keys (J/RMG) 60-65k

Lady Gaga, The Fame (Interscope) 60-65k

Mary J. Blige (Geffen) 50-55k

Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 40-45k

Black Eyed Peas (Interscope) 40-45k

Alvin & The Chipmunks, The Squeakquel (Rhino) 35-40k

Lady Gaga, The Fame Monster (Interscope) 30-35k

Justin Bieber (Island/IDJ) 30-35k

Alvin & The Chipmunks to sell a third of what Ke$ha will?
That's not really a  choice. I mean, Blah Blah Blah is the obvious choice to go with given its current success, but Love Is My Drug was always screaming to be a single...even if it probably would've been better releasing it third.

I meant it is in "I wish she'd make up her mind"

I really think they could benefit releasing this off the back of whatever the second single is here now, though as 'TiK ToK' is still riding high it could do well still, but randomly throwing it out there isn't the best of ideas.

Β

I loved that video of her going into the record store, showing the album to someone near her and saying "is this what you're looking for?"

I don't get why everybody's demanding a release ASAP. It'll bomb exceptionally hard if they release it before a second single has made an impact!

Anyway I'm playing the album now so these are my first listen thoughts:

Β

08.0 Your Love Is My Drug βˆ™ I don't think much of the verses but the chorus is huge. Could be a big third or fourth single.

08.5 Tik Tok βˆ™ My opinion on this seems to vary with every day but today I happen to think it's pretty great again.

09.5 Take It Off βˆ™ This is absolutely brilliant! I can't get enough of that heavy pulsating beat which turns it into a proper dance track.

08.5 Kiss n' Tell βˆ™ Is this Hot n' Cold or what? I guess if you're going to clone a song you might as well clone an amazing one.

08.5 Stephen βˆ™ Rather an Imogen Heap-ish intro! A bit less overtly synth-pop than the previous songs which is a good thing. Variety and all that. Really nice song.

07.5 Blah Blah Blah βˆ™ This is leaving me slightly cold at the minute. The chorus is pretty great but you feel like it's building up to something and then nothing happens.

09.0 Hungover βˆ™ I'm such a sucker for a bit of sad vocoder! She sings properly (hurrah!) and it's nice that she can make a big ballad whilst sticking to the party theme.

07.5 Party At A Rich Dude's House βˆ™ It's okay... the end of the middle 8 and the chorus are obviously massive but it's all been done before.

08.0 Backstabber βˆ™ This sounds like an unmastered demo and it doesn't sit comfortably on the album at all but it's got quite a nice, disjointed, angry sort of vibe.

08.0 Blind βˆ™ Very Dr Luke! That's all I can really think to say frankly. It's a good thing.

08.0 Dinosaur βˆ™ Okay now this is very Robyn! It could be straight from her last album. It's nice to break up the album a bit with a song that's almost under-produced.

07.5 Dancing With Tears In My Eyes βˆ™ The chorus doesn't really live up to the verses but her vocals are at their most enjoyable here.

05.0 Boots & Boys βˆ™ Yeah... really dull.

07.5 Animal βˆ™ The album's definitely lost a bit of steam by this point. This song is okay but it blurs in amongst all of the other typically Dr Luke numbers.

It's a hell of a lot better than I expected! Even though it's a long album it never becomes tiresome because the songs are pretty short and she actually sings a fair bit instead of just shouting, as on Tik Tok. I would've left off Boots & Boys for definite. Singles-wise I'd probably go with Kiss n' Tell, Take It Off, Stephen and Your Love Is My Drug.
