"Have you been throwing up in Paris Hilton's closet again?"

Anyway, Blah Blah Blah should be released, it's one of the only listenable tracks on the album.

Ke$ha “If You Bought My CD, I’ll Buy You a Drink!”

http://keshadaily.com/images/drinks.png

The party don’t stop till she walks in – and you can party with Ke$ha on JoJo on the Radio at L.A. Live TONIGHT! And she wants to hook up her fans who bought her new CD, Animal, by buying them a cocktail (or a soda or whatever!).

The first 102 people to bring their copy of Ke$ha’s Animal or their iTunes receipt to L.A. Live between 7-10pm tonight will score a wristband that’ll get them a drink (age appropriate, of course) and a toast with Ke$ha and JoJo after the Top 9 @ 9 at L.A. Live’s Lucky Strike! Get down to L.A. Live now!

All Fright Now.

HERE come the ghouls… and they’re spectred to make chart sensation Ke$ha’s debut album a hair-raising hit.

For the blonde – in the singles Top 10 since November with Tik Tok – wrote all the songs in a HAUNTED HOUSE.

But as soon as she’d finished her album Animal, she moved out of her phantom-filled pad in Los Angeles.

“No bulls***, my bedroom was totally haunted, I’m 100 per cent certain,” says Ke$ha.

“I know I sound mental but like clockwork I’d wake up about 4am from awful dreams of someone killing me. There’d be horrible shadows on the wall – monsters, killers, aliens. It was a terrifying presence. None of my housemates would sleep in the same room, as I’d freak them out. I never experienced anything like it before.”

Dudes

Now spooks-free and delighted with her UK chart success, she wants to live in England and find love with a BRIT.

In an exclusive revelation that will have guys forming a very long queue, Ke$ha told Rated: “There’s hot dudes everywhere you look over here. I’m on the road so much, I don’t have a home right now, and it’s going to stay that way until I find a sweet young chap in England. I like guys with beards, and cowboy boots. Guys with the redneck look work for me – it’s kind of hard to find a dude like that with a British accent but if there are any out there, me and him are a done deal.”

For now Ke$ha (the name rhymes with pressure and the dollar sign, she says, is just a joke from her days as a struggling songwriter) is content to live in her tour-bus and hotels – and watch her album climb the charts. The Nashville singer – whose mum Pebe wrote songs for Dolly Parton – says most of the skeletons in her haunted bedroom cupboard come out in party songs like Tik Tok, Party At A Rich Dude’s House and Dinosaur.

There’s also love stuff in Kiss And Tell, about an ex who cheated on her. “You’re an asshole if you cheat but I understand it goes on,” she sighs. “Worse than that, this douchebag was so stupid, he told friends of mine he’d cheated with some random $l*t. Of course that’s going to get back to me – what a moron!”

Ke$ha reckons she’d love to write a book, The Gospel According To Ke$ha, to lay out her rules for men and women. “I’m a s*** to guys, because I don’t trust them as far as I can throw them,” she admits. “Guys come and go, but I’m the best friend ever to my girls. You can’t break the chick rules. Like, if a girlfriend makes out with a guy, he’s totally off limits.”

Ke$ha wrote songs for Miley Cyrus and The Veronicas, before being signed by hip-hop producer Dr Luke. “My record is called Animal because I want people to show their animal instincts when they hear it,” Ke$ha explains.

“I love scuba diving, and I was once followed by a barracuda. I thought it wanted to eat me, but it was attracted to my navel ring. Across the board, animals are attracted to shiny objects, which is why my shows have as much glitter as possible, to help bring out the animal instinct. My favourite animal is a narwhal – basically, it’s a whale with what looks like a unicorn horn. Scientists don’t know what the horn is for, and I’m convinced it’s magical. I’m the narwhal of music!”

A sufferer of attention deficit disorder (”It’s so bad, I grind my teeth in my sleep”), the usually hyper Ke$ha has only one regret.

“I have five tattoos, but the last two were totally stupid,” she wails, gesturing at the word ‘Yeah’ on her left ankle. “That one, I woke up after getting messed up one night in September – all I had on was one sock and that new tattoo. I love tattoos, they should be cool scars of your stories but me and tattoos are through!”

Animal is out tomorrow.

Pardon the Introduction: Ke$ha

The singing/rapping Nashville native (by way of the Valley) born Kesha Rose Sebert has the No. 1 song in the country with “Tik Tok,” off her January debut Animal. And her name is pronounced KESH-ah.

Why the dollar sign in the name?

The dollar sign honestly originated because I was kinda trying to be ironic. I was really broke and I was on the Flo Rida song “Right Round” but I didn’t make any money on the song.

Why was that?

I walked into the studio one day––because Flo Rida was working with the same producer as me––and I kinda sat down and started singing along. He liked my voice and in five minutes he was just like, “Put it down.” I put [my vocals] down and he kept it. I guess he never found a new one to beat it and he liked it so much that we did another song for his last record called “Touch Me.”

I hope you got paid for that one.

No, I didn’t get paid for either but honestly it was just about the experience. So the whole dollar sign is just to be ironic and kind of like… I was just kinda making fun of myself that I was so broke and on the No. 1 song and it was being played everywhere all the time.

I noticed that it didn’t say “featuring Ke$ha.” Did you go around saying, “Hey, that’s me”?

[Laughs] I’ve told a few people it was me.

What’s special about you and why should people pay attention?

My music style mixes a lot of different music styles, one of them being kind of a talky rap thing and because I am like a 22-year-old White girl from Nashville, it’s kind of interesting that people are taking so kindly to my rapping on songs. A lot of my records have a little bit of the sassy White girl happening.

Did you listen to rap a lot growing up?

I did, but I also listened to punk and country and electro. So I listened to really everything and I love rap and there are a lot of white rappers that inspired me, too, so I thought it was really interesting that somebody like the Beastie Boys or this guy named Mickey Avalon… it was just interesting how people responded to them. I thought it was cool. I’m just a sassy girl anyways. Kind of a sassy bitch, so I wanted to try it out on some tracks and it totally works.

How’d you start making music?

I got into making music ’cause my mom’s a songwriter. So I used to come home from school and we’d write songs together and she’d tell me how to write. In Nashville, your popularity is more dependent on the amount of music you play than anything else, so I just kept on writing, playing music and playing in different bands. I did a country thing with my brother and then I was in a punk thing for a minute and then I just decided to make this record.

And now you have the No. 1 song in the country.

Hell yeah!

Tell me about the album.

Every song is like a true story. I think it’s a really fun record. I think it’s gonna make people shake their ass. It has a little bit of sassiness to it. When I was writing it, I was really broke but still would look great and go out and have a good time and I think one of the themes of it is you don’t need money if you just own it. [The title track] is probably my favorite song. It just kinda talks about how we’re all animals and you need to connect with that side of yourself and really give into your instincts sometimes. If you just wanna go nuts, you should let yourself.

You must be a party girl then.

I mean, I’m not a party girl… I’ve definitely experienced a few good parties in my life [Laughs]. I’m just a walking good time. I think it’s really important to have fun no matter what you’re doing.

Where would we catch you on a Saturday night?

Oh man. It depends on where I am ’cause right now I’m on the road. You might catch me at a strip club or you might catch me at a jazz bar. You might catch me playing dodge ball or you might catch me in the jungle. I really never know.

What’s your fashion style?

I don’t know name brands. With my fashion, I like to just be comfortable. You don’t always have to be rocking 10-inch heels to be sexy. I think you can be sexy in a t-shirt so I just like to be confident, comfortable, and I don’t wear heels very much in case I have to run from the cops. –Clover Hope

OMG I LOVE THAT INTERVIEW. She actually brushes her teeth with Jack.
"Ke$ha and JoJo"

As in 'Too Little Too Late' JoJo?

No. JoJo is a famous radio host in America. He hosts one of America's biggest radio stations.

Ahhh

I wonder where JoJo is nowadays?

Anyways, back onto Ke$ha can anyone help with this 'Get In Line' issue, it sounds sooo much like another song but can't think which?

Yeah her album is #1 too, TiK ToK is #1 on Hot 100, and I *think* Blah Blah Blah is number 2, i'll have to find out.

EDIT: She was #2 on Hot Digital Songs, but looks set to make a #6 debut with Blah Blah Blah based on sales/airplay.

Edited by LiamM

Pop phenom singer/songwriter Ke$ha catapults to the top of the Billboard Top 200 chart with her debut album. Animal, which was released on January 5th, is the #1 album in the US, selling 151,942 copies and it is also #1 on the Digital Albums Chart, setting the record for the best ever digital album sales for a new artist. It is also the 3rd biggest digital album debut by a female, coming in right after Taylor Swift and Britney Spears. This also marks the biggest first week for an artist's debut album released in January in SoundScan history. Ke$ha is also the first artist since Leona Lewis' debut in 2008 to have a #1 debut album AND a #1 debut single.

This week marks Ke$ha's 4th week in the #1 spot on the SoundScan Digital Songs Chart and it was joined at the top by her second single "Blah Blah Blah" making its debut at #2. Ke$ha's "TiK ToK" is #1 on the Hot 100 and has held that position for 3 consecutive weeks thus far and "Blah Blah Blah" is a hotshot debut at #7. Ke$ha has the distinction of having the two biggest selling tracks this week and is only the 4th artist in history to achieve such a feat (in the company of The Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce and Mariah Carey) and the first new artist to do so. Ke$ha also has 3 songs in the Top 15 of the Digital Songs Chart. Ke$ha's tracks have sold over 693K in 1 week.

Ke$ha recently set the record for the biggest track sales week by any female artist in history (and #2 overall) when her debut single "TiK ToK" received 610,069 downloads. Additionally, Ke$ha, who co-wrote "TiK ToK" along with the rest of her Dr. Luke produced debut album Animal, also has the unique distinction of being featured on the only two tracks to ever sell over 500K singles in one week, "TiK ToK", as well as Flo Rida's 'Right Round" the current record holder for biggest track sales week.

Amazing news!

Great interview
There are so many single worthy tracks on this album. I am literally hooked since downloading it 'Your Love Is My Drug', 'Take It Off', 'Kiss & Tell' and 'Blind' are the standouts for me alongside 'Tik Tok' and all are FAR better than 'Blah Blah Blah'. I loved the demo version of that but the magic was lost I think when the actual version was made and 3Oh!3 were added. Shame it's doing so well as it'll probably be the second single now...

The "demo" version that you heard was the live version. 3OH!3 were in the actual demo :P

Has she still not released an official statement about the second single!? I can understand them being patient as Tik Tok is still ruling the charts and is #1 on itunes and on radio... but they really should go ahead and release a statement and start sending it out to radio to keep the momentum for the album going.
