Both 'Happy' for the indie hit Precious and 'I See You' for Avatar are both rumoured to be in the running for the 'Best Original Song' category.

Leona said she feels privileged that 'Happy' was chosen to be featured in the film Precious, and that someone finally got the message of the song, as the film is about trying to overcome the trouble and trails in your life. She also added that 'I See You' is epic and described James Cameron as a 'nice uncle' type guy.

Happy was used for the Precious trailer, it's not in the film at all so that won't be nominated. Have to see about I See You.

Leona won't even technically be the winner of an Oscar. It's for the songwriters.

 

If nominated it's likely she will perform. But yes it would be fab to have her name to the song in some way.

 

And like Rain said, Happy on an advert wont be eligible for anything.

Well I guess there was some dodgy reporting going on with whoever wrote that article.

I really hope 'I See You' gets nominated, I think it would get her some added attention and just might boost album sales in the states.

Well it all came from the Daily Star so no shock that its dodgy reporting lol.
