I'm not seeing it as a winner, same with Kim/Linda - it's been and gone now, it would be like sending Silly Boy/The Spell a month later, they wouldn't have won I don't think...then again, you rarely call a wrong winner, you picked out Alphabeat when nobody else thought it would do so :o it seems to me that with some songs, especially release schedule tracks and hyped up blog/internet crazes, they rely completely on timing, whereas with complete unknown's it doesn't really matter when you send them because they will always remain unknown to most...

there is a lot of stuff for the indie crowd to vote for this month, I'm not sure that Ellie will rake up all of the votes there, and there are a huge amount of new pop tracks on offer, so she probably won't get a load of the pop votes either...top ten is a strong possibility, but as a BJSC winner? it doesn't feel like one

I'm not as certain as I was with Alphabeat because of the timing, but Under the Sheets easily has the most indie/pop crossover appeal. It may lose votes from a few because it's older, but there are also lots of people in this contest who probably have never heard the track and don't set foot in the indie forum (where mostly everyone found out about the song). Eva was never going to be on the Sound of 2010 list thus sending her later would have failed epicly after she flopped miserably. Ellie Goulding is set to be huge and I wouldn't be surprised to see her top the list. I'm definitely seeing it Top 5 and I'm more positive it'll win than other song.

That Linda song is catchy though. :( I hate myself for enjoying it to a certain degree because it's so tacky and the god-awful video. Damn that chorus. And she sounds like Robyn too which is always a plus.

I have to agree with you. But then again I'm sure some of you think I was unwise to ditch Glee after Simon Cowell has seemingly decided to destroy Don't Stop Believin' for the X-Factor winner, rendering it for me ineligible, when otherwise I would have entered it.

I actually think I've made a huge error on my behalf sending my all time favourite non album track of the decade to this contest, because I'm going to take its result far more personally irrespective of hows well or badly it performs.

she does sound a lot like Robyn, hence me thinking that it *might* have some indie appeal

Ellie will be fighting with Marina for the top of the polls I think...surprised nobody sent Hollywood actually...or did it leak too late? would have won for sure

I wouldn't be brave enough to send my favourite non-single of the decade (Extraordinary Day by Delta Goodrem) to BJSC because I know it would DNQ and that would be a tragedy for me...it's not even a fan favourite, most fans see it as a filler song, but it's so much more to me, it's by far the darkest and most personal thing she's ever written and I find it mindblowingly stunning...I'm alone in my love for it so there would be absolutely no point sending it only to see it completely fail :(

Idaho is absolutely gorgeous, definitely one of my top ten favourite album tracks of the noughties...was always gutted that she released Sophia over it

she does sound a lot like Robyn, hence me thinking that it *might* have some indie appeal

It leaked just too late - Monday Nov 30th.

I'd have been the first to send it actually :kink:

for BJSCXXIII it will be far too cheap though, proving the point about timing :o
Unfortunately you're right. I'd never send her to XXIII anyway :o
Yeah, but then again, Herzebania sent Kimda :kink: (Sorry Peter :()
Technically it's already out...

Has anyone else tried Odds yet :P
