December 10, 200915 yr indeed, it was a real shame :( if it wasn't heading for top ten, that was the end... Mini Viva are on the Radio 1 a-list aren't they with the new single? I guess it should go top 20 by that reckoning but it really is just a Call The Shots clone, whereas Left My Heart In Tokyo was quite a fresh and quirky pop song by comparison. Jason DeRulo might not be a one hit wonder though, US urban acts who you might expect to be one hit wonders have a tendency to come back because they have loads of money thrown behind them all the time (Souja Boy anyone!?!) Oh DEAR! that's the first time I've ever spelt Beverley's name wrong!!! I'm usually the person correcting people with the spelling!!! what's your now least favourite song on the album? :o the closest I've ever come to the loondom you have with Beverley is of course with Delta Goodrem, when in late 2004, the ENTIRE top 6 of my chart consisted solely of tracks from her album Mistaken Identity  True, I particularly noticed it with girl bands, they'd just 'disappear'. I only noticed the Honeyz almost had a second album campaign when it came to seeing if any of their "Wonder No. 8" singles were released this decade, for my countdown. I think so, I just think they seem unlikely to maintain success. They just seem like a nice little side project for Xenomania while Girls Aloud are 'on a break'. I never really got over the fact that they haven't even been to Tokyo either. It kinda made me hate the song. :( True, I actually think Jason is alright, I'm just not sure how much his success is down to a sample. My least favourite is now "Every Step" (I charted it at #2 when it was a promo single), but I think it might be because it was the first full song I'd heard from the campaign and I've now overplayed it. Anyway, she's releasing "Soul Survivor" next, which was an immediate favourite of mine. (it's already been top 10 on two occasions in my chart :o) Wow! :o I don't think I've ever gone that far. I think I've had an all Beverley top 2 with "Soul Survivor" in the top 10, but never more than that. Then again, I tend to shy away from charting album tracks.

I remember the Honeyz second album campaign - the lead single was so forgettable I'm not surprised you missed it :( yeah I think I agree with that, I'm surprised that they managed to get Tokyo into the top ten, in 2005 a new pop act would have never had a random top ten hit like that, look at that similar Xenomania duo Mania, they barely scraped into the top 40... ah right, Every Step is not one of my favourites...Soul Survivor is a very good choice of single, although it's unlikely to be a hit of any kind or save the album but I'm sure you know that already
December 11, 200915 yr Čeknet's FINAL ODDS. Angelicland: Elin Lanto – Love Made Me Stupid 2/1 Xanaga: Glee – Don’t Stop Believing 8/3 Mdiče – The Good Natured – Your Body Is A Machine 6/1 Hendinia: Linda Sundblad – 2 All My Girls 8/1 Herzebania: Linda Bengtzing and Kim Lian – Not That Kinda Girl 8/1 BaNG: Ellie Goulding – Under The Sheets 10/1 Numayania: Mimmi Sanden – Du 10/1 FSR Rontvia: Caroline Jönsson – By My Side 14/1 Kopečka: Adam Lambert – Whataya Want From Me? 16/1 Botanikka: Jennifer Paige and Nick Carter – Beautiful Lie 18/1 Torchwood: Vanessa Amorosi – This Is Who I Am 18/1 FNT Nickodonia: Emmalyn Estrada – Get Down 25/1 United States Of Jack: Rihanna – Cold Case Love 25/1 Quotosibb: Keri Hilson – I Like 28/1 Kathaldazia: Base Kleph & Stellar MC - $pend My Money 30/1 Ben’s Sanctuary: Inna – Amazing 33/1 Kingdom Of Shadow: Tina Parol – Who's Got Your Money 33/1 Land Of Jack: Cherona – Dragonfly 40/1 Cadbury: Kid Sister; Cee-Lo – Daydreaming 50/1 Zechonia: Metric – Sick Muse 50/1 People’s Republic Of Jester: Charlotte Gainsbourg - AF 607105 60/1 Elëdan: Ólafur Arnalds – Ljósið 75/1 Simondly: Paloma Faith – Stargazer 75/1 Nonsuch: Nerina Pallot – Idaho 80/1 New Rivermaya: Example – Won't Go Quietly 90/1 Fervorosia: Electrovamp – Drinks Taste Better When They’re Free 100/1 Camdonia: Against Me feat Tegan Quinn - Borne On The FM Waves Of The Heart 125/1 Lorikeet: Javine – Surrender 150/1 Victory is limited to the top 7 methinks...
December 11, 200915 yr Author I have been thinking about a 7th Mdice win in recent days too...I'd love the Ellie Goulding votes to go that way because it would be a fantastic winner - great quirky pop song of the Ellie mould that would also be a brilliant winner for the contest rather than all of the release schedule/internet hype songs that have been winning recently...it does seem more open than usual, I've lost a bit of faith in Linda Sundblad, we could have a shock winner but more likely Ellie Goulding will win seeing as she's been everywhere the last few days  :( I only hope that Girls Can't Catch's Echo can be banned from XXIII!!! :kink:
December 11, 200915 yr I don't like Ellie :s and how on earth you think Numayania might have more chance of winning than Rontvia or Botanikka :P
December 11, 200915 yr About to do my second listen and get my votes out of the way today. Weather very foggy in Swindon for a Friday afternoon = not going out Xmas shopping this afternoon as it will be murder. I'm not doing any odds but if I had to bet on who will win, then my money would be on The Good Natured – Your Body Is A Machine = 7th win for Mdice.
December 11, 200915 yr Author The Good Natured >>>>>>>>> Ellie Goulding in my opinion, well in terms of comparing these two songs at least, I've heard better by Ellie and I've heard worse by The Good Natured
December 11, 200915 yr Listened to all the song's once thus far and will listen again tonight before sending votes- but Kathaldazia stands out for me as the dark horse.

Exactly, I think their success is down to a lack of GA at the moment. It is, would have been my ideal lead, but I agree. If a single with Chipmunk did nothing, this won't either, even though it's amazing. :( I need to do Odds, but I still haven't listened to the final yet. I'd usually do it on the Friday, but I'm a bit busy today getting ready to see the artist who might (and probably should) win this contest support the artist I sent this time last year. ^_^

Probably, it's certainly got that GA "lyrics that hardly make sense" thing about it. -_- Haha, it takes a lot for this to get presentable. It's in London, so I'm leaving in about three hours. But I've actually been up that long already and so far 'getting ready' has involved making a rubbish breakfast, watching an episode of Beautiful People, This Morning and Loose Women and now listening to non-BJSC music. I could probably fit it in but, in my mind, that's not getting ready, while today's events so far obviously were.
December 11, 200915 yr I'd say Cadbury is definetly a dark horse - fantastic song and I'm pretty sure they'll be getting big ponts from myself, Aled & Jonjo. But then ... it could just be us three who like it. :P For myself I'm expecting mid table although Top 10 would be nice! :D
December 11, 200915 yr Listened to all the song's once thus far and will listen again tonight before sending votes- but Kathaldazia stands out for me as the dark horse. This  :o
December 12, 200915 yr Hmm...an attempt at odds: 4/1 BaNG: Ellie Goulding – Under The Sheets 5/1 Herzebania: Linda Bengtzing and Kim Lian – Not That Kinda Girl 11/2 Hendinia: Linda Sundblad – 2 All My Girls 6/1 Mdiče – The Good Natured – Your Body Is A Machine 13/2 Kingdom Of Shadow: Tina Parol – Who's Got Your Money 8/1 Xanaga: Glee – Don’t Stop Believing 10/1 Torchwood: Vanessa Amorosi – This Is Who I Am 21/2 Angelicland: Elin Lanto – Love Made Me Stupid 12/1 Botanikka: Jennifer Paige and Nick Carter – Beautiful Lie 14/1 United States Of Jack: Rihanna – Cold Case Love 16/1 FSR Rontvia: Caroline Jönsson – By My Side 18/1 Kathaldazia: Base Kleph & Stellar MC - $pend My Money 20/1 Ben’s Sanctuary: Inna – Amazing 22/1 Cadbury: Kid Sister; Cee-Lo – Daydreaming 24/1 Numayania: Mimmi Sanden – Du 51/2 Quotosibb: Keri Hilson – I Like 26/1 FNT Nickodonia: Emmalyn Estrada – Get Down 30/1 New Rivermaya: Example – Won't Go Quietly 30/1 Kopečka: Adam Lambert – Whataya Want From Me? 33/1 Zechonia: Metric – Sick Muse 33/1 Elëdan: Ólafur Arnalds – Ljósið 36/1 Simondly: Paloma Faith – Stargazer 42/1 Nonsuch: Nerina Pallot – Idaho 50/1 People’s Republic Of Jester: Charlotte Gainsbourg - AF 607105 66/1 Camdonia: Against Me feat Tegan Quinn - Borne On The FM Waves Of The Heart 66/1 Land Of Jack: Cherona – Dragonfly 40/1 75/1 Fervorosia: Electrovamp – Drinks Taste Better When They’re Free 75/1 Lorikeet: Javine – Surrender Basically, I don't know what will win or come last. A rather unpredictable contest I think.
December 12, 200915 yr Author hopefully Ellie won't win, it's a nice song and I like it a lot but the winners seem to be getting more and more predictable these days. I love it when completely unknown songs/artists win but it rarely happens anymore, only twice in the last year have unknown artists won the BJSC in fact :kink: I can see the Swedish pop songs splitting votes though and ending up collectively lower I guess... I really wouldn't be shocked to see a 7th Mdice win but I reckon the quirky-indie votes will probably go more the way of Ellie than The Good Natured and they will be appealing to exactly the same crowd I've really no idea though this month to be honest - it could literally be anyone, well apart from Javine
December 12, 200915 yr ;o Thanks to everyone predicting a 7th Mdice win. <3 But I really can't see it happening over Ellie tbh.
December 12, 200915 yr I REALLY hope that The Good Natured wins over Ellie. I mean, I like Under The Sheets but it's never been great for me :/ I would've had it down as top ten at best before all the hype came along.
December 12, 200915 yr Author hype wins only remind me of Eva Simons to be honest :( having said that I wouldn't mind having Casey host the contest - I reckon it would be very stylish/classy Mdice like presentation
