July 2, 201014 yr That's only because people who haven't seen the film go on there to slate it. We call those people haters. It has 58 on metacritic which is by far the better judge of quality over imdb. I'd say IMDb was pretty accurate given how drippy, watered-down and crap the first two films are, 3.9 seems about right..... And your supposition is wrong anyway, all the reviews of it is pretty obvious that the people have seen the film, and I would say that there are just as many Twi-loons who'll give it 10/10 regardless of the actual quality.... Quite a few of the reviews I've read are basically people who are disappointed with this sequel after actually enjoying the first two.... So, I dread to think how bad this film must be if even some of its fans are beginning to get fed up of it.....

July 2, 201014 yr Well, what does it say about the so-called "stars" of Twicesh!te that they cant even be bothered to show up to the UK premiere to meet their fans, and instead issue a lame-ass apology to their fans....? Christ, not even Tom Cruise is so full of himself that he doesn't feel that he needs turn up to the UK Premiere..... -_- I seriously hope a backlash happens now, or are Twicseh!te fans so stupid that they tolerate being treated with contempt....? Wasn't it due to filming conflicts or something? I know R-Patz at least is filming something else at the moment, and I think the other two might be too. But I doubt fans will care too much, other members of the cast were still there.

Some are calling it the best of the three. That obviously doesn't mean anything to somebody like you who doesn't like the franchise full stop but I loved the first film, was utterly disappointed by the second and still have relatively decent hopes for this so we'll see. You can't say '3.9/10 seems about right' when you haven't seen the film though. You know as well as I do that's daft. Burn a couple of hours with an illegal download before you go there.
July 2, 201014 yr Anything is better than New Moon. Me sitting on the toilet for 2 and a half hours is better. If ever anyone makes me watch that film again, I will tear my eyes out. But for some stupid reason, I think Im going to give this a go.

Burn a couple of hours with an illegal download before you go there. hmm yeah but on rotten tomatoes Twilight = 50% New Moon = 27% Eclipse = 53% (could easily change either way as it's still being reviewed) hardly a sign of any of the films being good. let's face it this franchise when it comes to films is a complete joke, they clearly arent good films and clearly only make money due to the "cult following" *cough*teenage girls who for some reason fancy Robert Pattison*cough*. They are just products to make money from the overly crazy and somewhat deluded and obsessed fans, hardly worthy cinema.
July 2, 201014 yr Well I would contest that the first film is pretty damn good. Not perfect by any means (some casting issues and not enough emphasis on/realism in the violence scenes) but made up for by a perfect score and soundtrack and a really perfect vibe overall with plenty of humour to offset the vampy emo misery. Most importantly it was likeable and had real character, unlike New Moon.
July 3, 201014 yr Author Just back and I really enjoyed it. Couldn't care less what others say/think but Eclipse is my fav book and it lived up to [my] expectations. :) Too late for an in-depth review right now but on the whole, very pleased.
July 3, 201014 yr The fact imdb has this film at 3.9/10 only because people who hate the whole thing rush to give it the worst mark there whereas others who love it (or may i say are OBSESSED with it) i.e. 10-14 y.o. girls (plus my mum :lol: ) don't bother with those ratings at all. Oh and yeah going to see it tomorrow, don't know if i come back alive, by the look of things guys going there is as rare as all the planets of the Solar system lining up in one row and i hope not all of the tickets for the time i'm going will be sold out. July 3, 201014 yr Well Eclipse was absolutaly amazing! the action scenes were amazing, the wolves looked great and better and the film had a much faster pace unlike new moon and didnt drag. SO bad. just looking around the theatre it was like seeing the scum/least intelligent people of our society lawlz. and these two girls sitting near me decided it'd be 'LOL' to make fun of my 'gay' outfit and such etc etc it's just bad though. plus being gay there's really nothing to relate to here. not that any part of twilight is even legitimately human/real. taylor lautner and kellan lutz are OOMPH though <3 <3 <3
July 3, 201014 yr I have yet to watch New Moon, so it'll be a while until I see this. Eclipse was my least favourite book because nothing happened in it. It was like hundreds of pages of nothing. :(

There's only one proper piece of male eye candy in these films and that's the amazinggorgeousbeautiful Jackson Rathbone. July 4, 201014 yr AMAZING. Of course. Already can't wait to go and see it a 2nd/3rd/4th time. My showing was 8:30, and I expected to be let in at about 8:15 as you normally get let in 10/15mins before the start, but no, I arrive at 7:50, see a huge queue, assume it's for the 8:00 showing, but no, it was for my showing, and we were let in. 40mins before the start :o Still got an excellent seat right at the back, but at least I know for when I go and see Breaking Dawn. When I realized I wasn't one of the first few there, I was worried I wouldn't any longer be able to claim to be Twilight's biggest fan, but I made up for that by making sure I was the last out of the screen. Didn't miss any of the credits :heehee: I'd say it's the best movie so far. Good mix of Edward & Jacob, and more humour in this one. The audience really laughed when Bella punched Jacob, and when Charlie was having the sex talk with Bella. And there was a Volvo with "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" on the side, outside the cinema, so I had a photo with that. I'll upload it later.
July 4, 201014 yr Just saw it. It was bad, REALLY bad, except for the fight scenes (actually only last fight scenes between Vikki & Eddie, Newborns & Co.) which were breathtaking tbvvf. And literally nothing happened there bar from the newborns thing i was disappointed having not read the books prior to the occasion. Jasper was the hottest bloke there tbh, Taylor is good too but his face screams HIT ME WITH THAT BAT. Surprisingly only about tenth of seats were sold out so it was relatively quiet (however as i bought ourselves the coolest seats we were literally the centre of everything there :( ) but in like 10 minutes 4 f***ing cell phones rang and one bitch dared to even ANSWER it. You are in the movies honey learn some movie etiquette.

I'm saying overall that a 4/10 is right for the franchise as a whole more than anything.... They're just NOT very good films, mind you, actual BOOKS aren't good either, so I guess you cant make a silk purse out a sow's ear anyway.... The whole concept of totally douchebag, wussy Vampires is simply ludicrous anyway... Vampires are KILLERS and UNUTTERABLY COOL AS FUKK creatures of the night, not a bunch of Sparkly Emo wimps, Angel may have had a soul, but it still didn't stop him kicking butt and being pretty BADASS.... And I find the Mormon subtext of the novels to be quite distasteful personally, given that that cult is itself pretty damned suspicious considering some of its practices (you know, such as marrying off teenage girls to "harems" with middle-aged men at the head)....
